Has anyone read an article in the non-league paper today. it is all around the budgets of the Conference premier sides having to have their budgets reviewed and passed as fit by an independent committee to ensure they are fit to trade as a club for a full season. What raised more than an eyebrow to me was the final paragraph which I will quote here. "The independent committee will be headed up by the Conference's accountant and Assistant General Manager Dave Boddy". So I Take it he will be judging all budgets against one of his own fine examples which should mean no club should have any trouble getting approval if his previous exploits at SGL are to go by. Modified due to my appauling typing whilst coming home from Workington - predictive text and small screens. Well that is my excuse!

Take it he will be judging all budgets against one of his own and no club should have any getting approval if his previous exploits at SGL ate too go by. The committee will cover all Conference clubs including North and South. I was at the Conference EGM last Thursday when it was announced I thought then now theres a man who knows all about budgets and how to run a club properly. And if your not running your club properly he will be coming to tell you how to do it.

I don't know anything about how the Conference run their affairs but this sitution absolutely baffles me.Frankly I think it makes the credibility of the entire set up laughable!

What?
Hang on.
It is not the 1st April today?
Jesus, this is serious! Shows what a shower of sh*te those running the Conference really are.

www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-16638716#TWEET70411A committee of civil servants will consider whether Sir Fred Goodwin, the former boss of Royal Bank of Scotland, should be stripped of his knighthood, the prime minister has confirmed. David Cameron said it was "right" for the Honours Forfeiture Committee to consider the matter when it next meets. Don't tell me Dave Boddy is head of that committee too ;-)
