It's the second time Sarah Garratt has ref'd a city game at the lane in recent seasons and again I thought she performed well (compared to some of her male counterparts).
I don't think I've ever seen a ref being applauded at the end of a game at the Lane (or wolf-whistled).
Yet another entertaining game.

Enjoyed the afternoon yesterday.
Still seems we have to work hard for our goals, while mistakes gift them to the opposition - I also thought we looked a much beter side for the last half an hour, when Tom Thorley pushed forward and we were less defence minded.
The referree had a decent game and puts many of her male counterparts to shame - and she was fit!!!
Thought the atmosphere was a bit flat though, apart from the last 10 mins.

I enjoyed the game in the end; Matt Birley was my man of the match - even before his wonder goal.
Agree about the ref too - I thought she had a decent game.
I don't know what's wrong with Tom Thorley (too much football in too short a time allied to a lot of travelling?) but he ain't the player he was last season. We sorely missed Kevin O'Connor in midfield.

Don't get carried away; City's next five games comprise Stalybridge, Guiseley, Droylsden, Altrincham and Bishop's Stortford. If we can get nine points from those five games then I'll believe we're in the right place in the table.
