Anyone heard any rumours of our pre-season friendlies?
The was a recent article in the WN saying that the promotion of Telford might hit us in the pocket, obviously a friendly against them would not compensate fully but it might help a bit. I did have a quick look at their website and couldn't see any mention of friendlies for them yet, either.

I've heard a few teams mentioned but not my place to say anything !! I've read that Telford are playing a friendly at home to West Brom but there's nothing in the pipeline to play them that I'm aware of. Funny enough I was speaking to someone not long ago...he is also on here (not saying his name), he informed me that a few years back when shoddy and co were in charge that Liverpool were due to come to the Lane and play a friendly.....that was until the then chairman stuck his nose in and it never happened. Maybe it's time we got panorama on the case after their brilliant work against FIFA and investigating the bungs and money problems individuals have had on their committee

One day I'll tell the full story, in fact I could write a book!! Why not tell us now, or write the book if the kit car is finished.

Because that would be gossip and heresay. If the story of how a football club was brought to its knees through a mix of ineptitude, greed, ignorance and bad luck, then it should be told properly. It would need legal review prior to publishing, and to be honest, WCFC are not very different to so many other clubs up and down the country, so who'd read it? I'm also more tied up with the Lafayette bar and grill murders, which is a far more fascinating story.

Yep, Cal Deal and I have had some 'interesting' conversations. Its whats not on his site that of more importance. Starting with the big headline, its wrong - If Carter and Artis were the killers, then it was Artis who pumped rounds into Hazel Tanis, in fact, forensic had Artis as the killer of both Tanis and Nauyoks and the wounding of Marins, Carter only "killed" Oliver. There are so many factual errors on that site, but reading through the transcripts is fun, but again, they are only the ones selected in favour of the prosecution case. Deal does a good job of presenting prosecution evidence material, he should do, its his business!

Can the Club in their present financial position afford a pre-sesason tour of Ireland?

Depends who is paying I guess Tony. We went across to Belgium a few years ago, but that was paid for by our then shirt sponsors "Petrochem Carless" if I remember rightly.
