Looking forward to going back to St Georges Lane after all these years, just wondering if the game is segregated? Also why the game is a 1pm Kick off? Cheers

The only segregation that's usual enforced is that our ex chairman is shunned and made to sit alone. However, he lives in his own little fantasy world, so he probably doesn't even notice.

There is no segregation in place for this game!!
If the situation changes however between now and Saturday then an announcement will be made via the WCFC website. This will only happen if we receive any specific intelligence from Worcester or Gloucester Police, this rarely happens so there's a 99% chance there will be NO segregation.
On the Kick Off time this decision is made between the managers and secretary's of both clubs so don't know the reason behind this.
If you want to look at the comical side of things it's probably to stop Man U fans from watching their beloved play live on sky at 12.30, as people seem to think WCFC shouldn't play at the same time as some teams live on Sky.
Thanks

As regards the 1.00pm kick off time. There is quite likely many WBA and Man U fans who would have wished to see both the Sky game and then come and watch the City game. A 3.00pm or even a 7.45pm start would have achieved this. A bit more awareness is sometimes an asset!

This club has never arranged a fixture around premier league fixtures and it never will, there are of course sky tv screens in the legends bar so it's not really an issue for many. A 3pm KO would mean many supporters miss Birmingham v Arsenal so again hence why most clubs don't look at fixtures on sky before they arrange them!!!! As I say the time is agreed between managers and club secretary's. Pendulum it's not down to drinking for this game

Not sure how many we'll bring, every game has been an away one for the past 4 seasons and Worcester isn't that much further to going to Ciren or FGR where we got 300+. So at a guess 250-300 from here seeing as its New Years Day and some will no doubt be doing the family thing/nursing a hangover instead.

I'd be over the moon to take anywhere close to 200 after our recent home crowds, but you never know, what with the lack of games lately. I can't wait to see SGL again, it's been far too long. And the the 1pm start cannot be due to drinking? Has nobody heard of alarm clocks

I meant like because its new years day and it gives people less time in the pub as it would on a 3:00 clock kick off.

I may be being pesimistic, but i would wager on 120-180. I hope i'm wrong! If we took 300, what do you reckon the total crowd will be? I really can't wait for a proper derby game, a good sing off, a few beers with you northerners and hopefully a good result!

The combined age of our centre-halves will be much less than 75 this time so hopefully we'll have a chance.

Agreed, 1pm.is a silly time. & WCFC/non-league should be mindful of trying to compete with The PL, as they'll end up losing out. Whoever arranges fixture dates & KO times, MUST be mindful of this. As it's costing the club £'000's....

As it's costing the club £'000's.... The only club that is given a thought when it comes to arranging the dates and times are Warriors, even then it's rarely an issue. Cheltenham, Kiddy, Hereford, Telford and Solihull all kick off at 3pm tomorrow so as far as I'm concerned well done to the people who arranged it to be a time when these teams are not playing!! If this club arranged their fixtures around, The Premiership, Champions League, League Cup and FA Cup then we would never play a 3pm or 7.45 match. It's ludicrous to think people expect the people who arrange the fixtures to sit at a table for hours on end working out if we can play on a Monday night because Man U play Arsenal!! This is non league football, there's obviously a reason why a 1pm ko was arranged, maybe there's a case of players having commitments to work etc etc in the evening!!!

2-0 Half time. McGregor, Glover.
Ref has been on McGregor's case all game. Now he's on his final warning. He'll have to shut up or get sent off.

A well deserved win today against Gloucester City.
And for a change a decent referee.
833 attendance. In my thinking the early kick-off reduced the crowd somewhat. Although 833 was fairly good.
Mcgregor had a fair game today, but I do wish he would stop trapping to the referee, it got him another booking today. He was substituted, I think, before he received a red card.
The new goalie did quite well, and coped quite well with what he had to do. His distribution of the ball was very good too, with quick throws and kicks.

It was that we wanted it more and its like gloucester had no game plan. feel sorry for their fans Thanks! It didn't happen for us today, I get the impression that you'll be our new Chippenham; we lose at yours, and win at ours, or whoevers ground we're using. I didn't think there was too much between the teams in the first half (other than the goals!) but the second was an absolute game killer, no sooner had we kicked off but the ref blew up. Second half the game opened up a bit but it was never going to be our day.
