Spending ten thousand on jai stanley ... Jai Stanley was signed at least two years before Andy Preece arrived. Probably around 2003. John Barton was manager.

Well the City won! But Oh, how many chances were missed. And Northwich Victoria came close to equalising. Where was our strike force? And don't tell me that they were suspended!
The 10 men put up a brave fight.

My first match this season.
I thought the goal was lucky, it looked like it was meant to be a pass to the back post that sneaked in. The Northwich keeper was man of the match with three or four good saves. Citys "Ginger Winger ?" also had a good match. Quite professional 2nd Half against 10 men, kept a clean sheet, didn't let Northwich make many chances.
Poor attendance which was helped by many from Northwich. Andy Preece got a "good reception". Andy Morrison is "older uglier and still stupid".
Reading my programme when I got home, I noticed an advert for a "Fans Forum", was there one? as I would of gone to it if I'd known about it.

I've sent my mate Andy details of where you live Suv,and yes there was a fans forum it was not put over the P.A till every one was walking out of the ground.

Well, we made it to the 2nd Round, but what a struggle! Richman could have had a hat-trick, with three good shots on goal - all of which the Vics keeper saved. I thought we were class in the 1st half; lots of good passing and movement and by half-time we should have been out of sight, and the one goal we did get was a cross, which evaded the keeper's fingertips by a hair's breadth. He (the keeper) more than made up for it by keeping them in the game with a superb display.
Second half? What the hell were we doing? We just fell away completely and it was the 10 men of Northwich who looked like scoring - indeed I thought they were about to, but man of the match Ryan Clarke was there to clear it off the line. But somehow I always felt we would scrape home. Vics were a poor side I thought and we'll need to do better than this in the next round, whoever we draw.
I, too, am hoping for a home draw against a Conference National side, but with six grand on the line I'd just take a win.
