Looking at their team tonight...the manager kept his word, Adaggio, Meredith, Jukes, Schepel and Spencer all missing and none of them made the bench. Fitzpatrick plays with Qaynor.
At helf time they were only losing 2 v 1

Yeah SkySports arnt good with positions and they had spicer at the back it turns out it was spencer.
Its funny that they had our lineup with Clyde up front with Birley and all our other players out of position.
Wonder where that supporter is who stuck up for Cornes saying he hoped he proves us all wrong when in fact he has proven we are all right

I haven't seen Tom Warmer play for a while, but going on his past I'd have him back.

I haven't seen Tom Warmer play for a while, but going on his past I'd have him back. I wouldn't have him back, but he certainly wasn't 'pants' as Verner said above. I always thought Warmer was an honest performer, who did OK for us, but he lacked size and strength to really cut the mustard.

No No Sorry!!! He was good at City back in his day and I thought he was a good player.
Since then when he was at Evesham United he had seemed to have lost his way. He wasnt brilliant when he played against us for Stratford in preseason and looked as though all he wanted to do was chop our players down.
Maybe the four clubs he has been at since leaving us has stopped him progressing as he was always on the move, but i did rate him when he wore a City shirt.

How a week changes in football. last week losing 9:0 . redditch go and draw with afc telford 1:1 And it was the first goal the AFC Telford have conceded this season in competitive football. So it seems as Redditch are improving. Hope not so much as to be able to be our bogy team again this season.

No time for them obviously but hope they improve slightly, so as not to be complacent when we play each other. They might be our local derby this season but let's hope we can take at least 4 points from them? And of course they'll never be that Shower from up the A449.

Why people still give chris cornes is a mystery, meredith released? Haha how funny Some people on here were talking about giving Cornes a chance at City this season!! What a complete waste of talent! I think I saw Meredith 3 times last season, and he must rate as one of the worst keepers I've ever seen wearing a City shirt. He was shocking in everything he did, and simply couldnt command his box. When I saw him, you couldnt even call him a "decent shot stopper!!"

From the worcester standard paper : WORCESTER City manager Carl Heeley is determined to make sure it his him raising a toast to victory when he pits his wits against his best man in Monday night' s derby clash. Heeley' s side are set to take on fierce local rivals Redditch United at St George' s Lane (kick off 7 .45 pm) . The game has been given some extra spice with Heeley desperate to try and get one over Redditch United assistant manager John Snape who will be the City boss' best man when he weds fiancée Vicky Andrews next summer. Heeley told the Standard : " I' m good mates with their manager Matt Gardiner and his assistant John Snape. John is going to be my best man next year and we will all want to put one over each other . " I speak to him a few times a week but he ' s away at the moment so that ' s probably why there hasn' t been too much banter flying around. There certainly will be some over the weekend and after the game next week ." City have the weekend off with their scheduled league opponents Vauxhall Motors still involved in the FA Cup while second from bottom Redditch travel to Gainsborough Trinity . Heeley hopes the extra rest means his players will be in even better shape for the derby clash as they look to improve on their record of just one home win this season . But despite Redditch' s own league position, Heeley is expecting a tough encounter against opponents' packed with former City players including Kevin Spencer , Jordan Fitzpatrick and Marco Adaggio . " There are players at Redditch that have previously been at Worcester and they will feel they have something to prove and will want to do well , " he said. " At the start of the season it looked like they were going to be the whipping boys . They had a few heavy defeats but they have changed a lot since then . They have brought some players in and they seem to have faired better ." Heeley will make a late decision on whether to play Graham Ward who suffered a broken nose in last weekend' s defeat at Alfreton . Matt Birley and Marc McGregor are both expected to be fit.
