What I am developing is a Web Based Application - which with the Touch will need a WiFi Connection - that will be free of charge. The link here is the app in it's very early stages (so early - it's just the first screen you see which is working as such) - I intend to add to and expand it over the next few days into a valuable resource. cityiphone.webuda.com/ - if you click on the link on a normal PC - then you will also see the site as rendered on the iPhone/Touch If you use the option to add that link to your homescreen - then you should get a nice little icon relevant to the site. Let me know what you think...

And you're not really making a point either.
Apple refer to this kind of thing as a "Web App" - so that's what it is...

SOme people would rather moan than give a constructive suggestion
I don't have an iPhone altho' the Mrs has an iPod touch and this looks pretty smart on that
I have viewed it via Safari on a MAc and it is still looking pretty nifty! What detail are you going to go into. Stick to results and stats and web links for Non League in General or develop into another web site for the club?

constructive suggestion! Develop something thats handset agnostic!! There are going to be plenty of non-Apple and far better phones that will dwarf the iphone very shortly, starting with the HTC HD2, the Nokia n900, and the motorola droid.

Blackberry is another , but, if I understand it right, this will will run on all of them not just an iPhone. It is a web app not an iPhone App. It has an iPhone appearance but is not restricted to that platform. I was trying to suggest that constructive comments could be made about the content rather than the platform

I'm probably going with a mix of the two - a site which isn't "in competition" with any other - but which could be expanded to cover most of the non-league. Does anyone remember the old "Non-League Club Directory"? I'm aiming for something like that
