I don't and I can't be bothered to find out as American "Football" looks like the most boring load of nonsense ever invented. Bloody septics.

I understand it a damn sight more than baseball - but both games a waste of time (literally, 60 mins of action(?) spread over 3 plus excruciating hours. Tried to watch a Superbowl live on tv in about 1982, never again.

I have no wish to understand it, they are totally bonkers in America with their World Series that only they can enter. Baseball is just glorified rounders.
At least it isnt quite as dull as cricket!

I must admit I quite like the game; once you know the basics and get a gist of what's going on. Only game I've seen live was years ago at Wembley (Dallas Cowboys v Chicago Bears). Can't remember the score but do recall the bemused faces of the -rather nice-Dallas Cowgirls Cheerleaders when a certain section of the crowd treated them to a rendition of "Get your **** out for the lads"... Charming.

I watched the first half last night. Or should that be the first two quarters.

The game makes for a decent highlights show. I've only sat through one live match and involved drinking and eating lots with an American girlfriends dad. No idea who was playing though or the score.

Love the Sport Am i the only one? you aren't actually Trying to get tickets for the Chargers game at Wembley next season - missed out on the one played there this year unfortunately. Cracking 4th quarter - when Manning broke out of the attempted sack to throw that pass I knew that the game was up. Belichek didn't help matters with that ridiculous call earlier when they went for it on 4th and 15 instead trying a field goal? That's the 3 points the Giants won by.

The play before the winning touchdown, where 'David Tyree' (New York Giants Wide Receiver) caught the ball using his helmet with two Patriots around him was amazing, then 'Plaxico Burress' scores the touchdown!! I want to see that game at Wembley as well Next year, hopefully the Jaguars get there

Helmet catches definitely not in the playbook methinks Saw an interesting bit of news the other week - with Buffalo getting permission to play at least one game a season up in Toronto - could pave the way for a full move into that city in the future

Who are the chargers playing at Wembley?
Good to see games at other venues but it wouldnt be the same in other sports For example;
Chelsea vs Blackburn in LA (a Premier League Fixture)

Am I right in thinking that a team can be bought by another town? Like a franchise? What do NY Giants fans do when the name is sold? Do they become e.g. Dallas Giant fans? Or wait foe New York to buy another name? Is it the same club?

Good to see games at other venues but it wouldnt be the same in other sports For example; Chelsea vs Blackburn in LA (a Premier League Fixture) They're playing the New Orleans Saints ealing - tough one to call actually - there hasn't been a really big relocation of a major franchise over a long distance for a decade or so. The history generally wouldn't travel with the team over such distances - although some parts of the old team I think would be incorporated into the new organisation. (the last big relocation I can think of is when the Oilers moved from Houston to Tennessee in 96 - they played under the Oilers name for a further 2 years in their new home before changing their name to the Tennessee Titans - but in this case their owner announced that in response to fan requests the renamed team would retain the Oilers' heritage (including team records) and that there would be a Hall of Fame honouring the greatest players from both eras). It's all about revenue generation at that level though - if a team constantly loses money then they generally relocate - as happened in the 90s with Cleveland Browns moving to Baltimore. Most fans would follow their college sides (which draw obscenely large crowds - the Superbowl was played this year in a University Stadium which holds something like 65,000) and those teams which play in the other sports in their city/state (hockey, baseball, basketball, etc.)

You could buy the City and move them to London!

Baseball is a really good game its just that they dont show the world series until th efollowing evening by which time some githas let the reuslt out of the bag which takes th efun out of it. There is a lot of subtlety in this sport that makes it the next most tactical game after cricket IM(V)HO
