That overnight stay was looking very expensive at 30 down I know our defense is leaky but we only let 3 in !!!

3-2 to home side now in dying embers. Wardy & McGregor pull goals back after being 3 down. Too little, too late. We don't do injury time goals! Yes we do. Good that we did. Now we have to beat them at home. Which will be just as hard given our sh*t form in that respect.

City play Lewes @ Lewes. Lewes have Lewis Hamilton, City have St Louis Hamilton, Lewes substitute Kane Louis with Louis Pople and for good measure Kane Louis scores for Lewes, Lewis Hamilton & Louis Pople both get booked. Wheres Inspector Morse when you need him.

Could it be that Meredith lost confidence because of the defence in front of him?

Could it be that Meredith lost confidence because of the defence in front of him? Is he that weak willed?? I never remember Danny or Paul Moore losing confidence, and they had some shocking defences in front of them. Paul Hayward never lost confidence even when we were relegated, always a fine keeper, and he had lumbering camels like John Layton and Don Wade in front of him!! I'm convinced that in previous poor seasons, with poor teams and poor defences, Danny McDonnell was the reason we didnt get relegated, always confident in his own ability regardless of the frailty of those around him!

A 'keeper can easily be exposed by poor defending and I would accept his confidence would get knocked by having to pick the ball out of the back of the net so often. At the same time the defence will lose confidence if they know that anything that goes past them is going to end up in the back of the net, or if they feel they can't pass back because he is going to put the team in more trouble. The 'keeper these days is acting like a sweeper because they can't handle the ball from a pass back. But when a 'keeper just comes out and flaps at a ball instead of catching or punching clear, when he takes up poor positions from corners or doesn't communicate with his defenders, when he doesn't tell a defender who to pick up or allows a ball to roll under his body or get out of his grasp, then that is just poor 'keeping and can not be put down to the defenders giving him 'low self esteem'. Low confidence isn't going to help any player but he can't blame the defenders for his own short comings.

Missed that! Saw his scarf being pinched at the side door to the bar whilst he was 'giving us a song' and then losing his way to the loo! He was certainly in good spirits. Did he get his scarf back? Heard rumour in the bar from a Lewes fan that the Ref was going to mention the mini pitch invasion after the 3rd goal (so mini it was only one person!) Did that get mentioned after too?

Is that a regular small minority pitch invasion of one to a few or a Boddy small minority pich invasion of several hundred?

And if we hadn't slid one past the post not moments before.... who knows what we might have got out of it Let's be positive - A real fighting performance. We could so easily have just given up (as reported here) and said we just don't come back. Well that is 2 great fight backs Woking and now Lewes (although far too late for comfort or anyone with a heart condition) and without Marco at all or Clyde in 2nd half. Hell of a result . Although it does come to something when we celebrate a draw harder than a win, but it felt like we won after that! Drawing beer was just as good as winning beer Saturday! glug glug hic!

maybe 600 for tonights game? 600 real ales ... PLEASE!! lol ;D You have to admit that you are likely to be entertained if you go. There is no shortage of goals when Worcester play these days : Havant 2- 3 Woking 3-2, Braintree 2-3, Newport 1-4, Lewes 3-3. The football we play maybe pretty poor at times but if it is goals you want then SGL is the place to be. I still don't think the attendance will be much more 485 tonight though.

I'm putting the cause of my sore throat and inability to talk properly on Sunday down to the celebrations for that goal!
As a true alcoholic, i managed to calmly put my real ale down before going nuts though, thereby avoiding any spillage!

Sporting Events (Control of Alcohol) Act 1985
It is an offence to possess alcohol whilst trying to enter a designated sports ground, possess alcohol inside a designated sports ground in view of the pitch and drink in view of the pitch.
Designated sports grounds includes all football grounds (Lewes and Hampton and Richmond included!)
