0-0 after start of 2nd.half. Sounds a tight game. City making heavy weather of more lowly opponents?
Kemp injured, allegedly.

Looking like a replay. And a pointless trip to Surrey. If you can't win your home games..... The BBC have it as 0-0 at FT!

No word on the crowd, but ended 1-1. Disappointing that our strikers are so poor.
Fear a relegation dogfight for the rest of the season.

First time I've been down SGL for 12 months and it was very poor fare indeed. The only City players of ability - the keeper who had a good game, as did Daniel and Clyde at the back, but they both visibly tired the last 20 minutes leading to a very limited Carshalton getting back into the game. The front six players had no idea of how to play together at all and I spent the night wondering what was worse - the lack of a good touch, the lack of pace, the lack of height, or the complete lack of any guile and craft. The side lacks any kind of leader, and if Craig Wilding possesses the ability to play centre midfield, then I'll put my boots back on. He might try hard but sadly his second touch is a tackle. It really was dire stuff. Like most City fans, I remember the good times and the good players, but I felt I was watching a football club going through the last rites. Every director of the Club over the last 15 years should hold their heads in shame as to what they have presided over, and allowed to happen.

Abject performance - Carshalton would, and probably should, have won that tonight.
Wilding utter garbage for long periods tonight - it was bloody depressing to watch.
Consensus in the bar after the match was that a season back down in the Southern League would probably do us some good.

In that case, for the good of the football club and the supporters, Hampson, Panter, lets have a strategic administration please!!

In that case, for the good of the football club and the supporters, Hampson, Panter, lets have a strategic administration please!! What's a strategic administration? We all make the assumption that we go tits up into administration then start up again; what's to stop someone without a football interest getting what's left leaving no football at all?

As for a season in the Southern League Carshalton are 17th in the Ryman premier, I presume we would go into the Zamaretto midland premier rather than the Ryman, on last nights performance it would take more than a season to get out. If we go into Administration will our creditors then wind us up, force us to sell the ground for whatever, then we'll be sharing with who (Halesowen) what a disaster. We cannot even give our players away to lower the wage bill. Lets all get down the cathedral, synagogue, temples, etc and pray for a win at Carshalton.
As for Dryden I feel for the guy but he should have walked away in the summer when he had the chance sighting financial hopelessness from the board (will he get another job, I hope so somewhere for his sanity and if he has one his family) sure he made some mistakes but so do all managers, last night he looked disillusioned with the whole sorry lot.
I just hope we still have a club to support and a team to watch
