I like yoghurt, and allegedly it's good for me too, but have you noticed that annoying little characteristic, common to all forms of yoghurt?
It doesn't matter how carefully you open the lid, even resorting to peeling it as slowly as an unexploded time-bomb, but it always manages to spurt yoghurt all over your hands.
My favourite is Total Greek yoghurt; I could eat it by the bucketful. And no, I'm not a vegetarian and I don't wear sandals.

i have noticed how they don't seem to taste the same as they did when you used to buy them off the milkman when you were a kid. and they still spurted over your hands when you opened them.

I agree. NigeD, that's a warning I love those one where you have the flavour in a separate pot. There's SO MANY DIFFERENT WAYS TO EAT THEM

There's SO MANY DIFFERENT WAYS TO EAT THEM Hey buddy get it right, I'm not on good bacteria I'm on advertising agencies and branding managers trying to kid you that without the good bacteria in the yogurt you are going to be ill. Its crap, we all have plenty of good bacteria in our gut already we don't need anymore it doesnt do a goddam thing. Like the Aqua or Dihydrogen Oxide in shampoo, yea like its water. Acrtually most yogurt is kinda crap food with 4 spoonfuls of sugar in that little pot. Greek unsweetened yogurt, yes, good for you.

well i have got a bit of extra zip in my step recently but that may just be the dawn of the new spring swelling in the loins. you should never ask a mature man about his dabblings in the black arts of young love ealing. good job i m immature!! it doesnt spurt over your hand like the yoghurt!

Total Greek yoghurt is my favourite too with honey in it. Great minds think alike Tim
Dont let Mr T put it in a bowl for you though he forgets to remove the clear plastic of the top, and you are happily munching away and find this horrible thing in the middle!

We first discovered Greek yoghurt in .........well, Greece. It was our first visit to Corfu and there wasn't much else in the "supermarket" (about as big as our local Post Office)! We were hooked from the first taste.
I have never had the "clear plastic" experience I must say.

FAGE, who make Total, are the biggest exporters of Greek yogurt there is. There are better ones, but they don't travel so well! Best I ever had was at a hotel in Athens, the owner's wife made it fresh every morning. Wonderful stuff!

Is it possible to make it in a yoghurt maker if you have live yoghurt?

You can get a so-called Greek yoghurt, but it's not the same as the Total stuff.
