Was it just my imagination, but did Dave "I only deal in facts" Boddy and Alan Williams and David Hallmark all say that one application could not go in without the other? Now we have Careys applying for permission, and once that's granted they will likely enforce agreements allowing them to take possession at the agreed fee to the club, yet Alan Coleman senior planning officer says that we are "so far off even contemplating the Nunnery Way scheme" So much for the tri-party agreements !!! and will Carley ever get his figures right, the planned move is to pay off £2 million of debt, although there isn't enough money in the arrangements to pay much more than half of that. "We will move to Nunnery Way DEBT FREE" said Alan Williams to shareholders - was he being truthful??

I'm starting to wonder whether the allegations made by troublemakers like Brooksider and co. might not be true after all.

how many more lies were we told? my guess is that we either finish the season homeless or start next season that way.
NW wont happen and even if it did it wont be for 4 or 5 years at best, we will be turfed out of sgl long before that happens.... and yes we were promised that it wouldnt happen because the 2 applications cant go in separately, thus removing the chance off sgl planning permission getting granted and NW not!
all the lies are on mp3 somewhere but does anyone care?.
The grubby little men will get their way and line their pockets in the process.
It looks as if there was a plan B after all but it didnt involve the club surviving or should I say not surviving longer than is needed.

If you read Alan Coleman's comments it would appear that it's the City Council who are moving he goalposts by deciding that the one scheme should be considered before the other, not the Football Club.
But clearly getting Nunnery Way anywhere near the Planning Committee is a long way off, I do think supporters are entitled to more than a two sentence explanation, be it from the Club or St Modwen's.
As to how long the delay will be, "In due course" could mean anything , where did Steve Carley get September from I wonder?

Although, I can't see why they should, if they still want the land and to build houses. I guess Coleman is just trying to clear the decks, and there's no reason that one plan can't be heard without the other - that's a fact Mr Boddy. I am in total agreement about supporters being entitled to more than a couple of sentences in explanation, however, as supporters have been kept in the dark about all of the goings on at the Lane in the past 10 years, its hardly likely that explanations will be given out now. After all, the disposal of 100% of the clubs assets was undertaken without any shareholder consultation. Thats the way these guys play.

We were promised the two sales "couldn't happen one before the other" - not "they can't happen one before the other unless one side changes its mind".
".... the disposal of 100% of the clubs assets was undertaken without any shareholder consultation" - again despite being promised supporter consultation.
Just two of the many deceits we've ben subjected to. Disgraceful.

They don't give a s*** about supporters, they pay lip service to shareholders knowing that the vast majority of shareholders have no idea what rights they have as shareholders! They use their power for their own benefit knowing that they can keep getting away with it. They paint those that question their motives as "small minorities shouting loudly" forgetting that small minorities shouting loudly are the only people to have ever changed the world! Those in power at WCFC even sacrifice their own, like the hapless Mr Boddy, to take the bullets whilst they carry out their grubby little land deals. As wh says, its all on mp3 somewhere, listen to their shareholders meetings, listen to the open meetings, and then listen to the Supporters Trust open meeting at the cricket club. Everything said on that night (which was ridiculed as lies by Chief Stooge Dave "I only deal in facts" Boddy) has come to pass More and more people are finally seeing the light, finally seeing what this carve up is all about.
These are the words of Mr Hampson in his Business Plan Summary before the AGM re Nunnery Way
"The plan is thought through and costed to provide a good quality stadium and a debt free football club in time for the 2010/2011 football season"
What a despicable way to treat shareholders!

Reading the reports on the planning of Nunnery Way.
The County Highways Department seem to have made it 'A Bridge Too Far!'

I think the passing of the planning application for a hotel at the cricket ground is another nail in the coffin. That and the situation with car sales, two retailers going bust

If the planning for NW gets turned down then presumably it's back to square one - but with a massive debt and we've lost SGL. i.e certain, immediate, bankruptcy.
However if the move gets the green light - then we lose SGL, possibly end up homeless for a few seasons, until we go bankrupt. It's the difference between a slow death and an extremely slow death.
The only major distinction is whether Hallmark walks away well-off or stinking rich.

The Lane is no more than a means to an end for the likes of Hallmark.
Again, this is my take on it based on all the documents I've seen, comments I've read, and conversations with people involved in the football club, and also involved in the development of Worcester.
Sir Anthony Glossop Chairman of St. Modwen said "The football ground is the catalyst for the development at Nunnery Way"
If planning permission is granted for the football club with enabling development, then this will create the precendence needed for future planning. Looking at the business plans that SMD have put in for the development, the yield on the site is not that great, certainly not enough to provide any kind of overage to pay for further development of the football ground.
However, thats not what this is all about, the real prize lies the other side of the old Stratford Road, and stretches through to the village of Whittington. A corridor of agricultural land which could now be developed into various mixed use. If the Nunnery Way development is a £20m development, then this stretch of land must be around £100 million. This is the real prize - and if this agricultural land gets planning permission for development, its value (according to David Hallmark, when he explained the very same process for the value of the land at Nunnery Way once planning permission has been granted - thank you for inadvertently providing the final piece of the jigsaw Mr Hallmark) may rise tenfold!
Now, imagine you had an interest in that agricultural land? Maybe an owner, maybe an agent, maybe the nominate representative of the owner, or more than one owner! How much would you want Worcester City Football Club to get permission to move to Nunnery Way? Even if you had absolutely no interest in football, or WCFC? In fact, it would probably help if you didnt care!
Of course, I might be totally wrong about all this, we might seriously have genuine football people involved in the club who want to secure the long term future of the club and are making to move to remove the debt and build a stadium that the city can be proud of (even though we already have that less than a mile up the road!)
The person I actually feel sorry for in all of this is David "I only deal in facts" Boddy, who must now realise just how much he's been used, and how the "facts" that he's been given to present to the supporters and shareholders just don't stack up. Watching Dave and Alan Williams desperately trying to tell shareholders "there will be no debt!" was quite pitiful looking back. He's not a bad man Dave, he's just tarnished by carrying out other peoples dirty deeds.
So, what are the chances of car showrooms at Nunnery Way in the present climate? I know that the Jaguar dealer in the Ombersley Road is looking for better premises, and how about another budget hotel?? Looking less likely all the time.

Dave, if you have any real love for the club and football in Worcester for God's sake jump off Hallmark's ship and let the truth be known. You must know by now that he's going to throw you off anyway. Come clean, because it will be your name that will be forever linked to the demise of our club - not Hallmark. Do you really want to go down in history as the man who destroyed Worcester City F.C.?

your wasting your breath archie, his type never see the error of their ways. Is it ego, stubbornness, arrogance, ignorance or just plain stupidity?
He has a track record of failure whether it is in business or domestically so you cant expect him to suddenly change his spots.

I'm not so sure wh. Dave Boddy has football (and the club) in his heart. I think he's let himself be enticed down the wrong path by Hallmark - who will inevitably spit him out like a bad taste. However, if I'm right and DB always had the dream of the new stadium being for the good of the club, then it's not too late for him to stand up like a man and come clean.

If DB really did have the moral fibre to stand up now, then he would win the support of all those who care about the future of WCFC from a footballing perspective.and he really has nothing to lose, he's been usurped as the public face of WCFC by Hampson, and from the business face of WCFC by Panter and Hallmark. When was the last time Dave was called on to make any kind of comment regarding WCFC? The appointment of a new football secretary. He gets less press inches than Colin Layland He must feel pretty well castrated as things stand. I'm sure even Dave can't believe the bullshit anymore. I felt for him at the AGM, when he was dragged up onto the platform like a lamb to the slaughter by Hampson and Hallmark who used the excuse that they were new to avoid answering difficult questions - which is pretty rich considering Hallmark has operated as a shadow Director of the football club for the last 10 years at least!!!

Must be a different Dave i think, the one I'm talking about is a media hungry attention seeker who loves nothing more than to give the impression that he still holds all the cards. As for the face of WCFC, wasnt it you good lady jcp that once said he had the face of Fred West

WH, yes you're right on both counts - and thats the point, it must really irk Dave that he no longer holds the cards, and he knows it, and he's no longer needed for any kind of photo shoot or press announcement. Maybe I missed the photo of RD, Wayne Daniel and Dave signing the contract (looking all the world like one of those photos you get at a wedding of the bride signing her life away, with the groom standing, arm on shoulder, ready with the "she's a quality signing" quip!!)
And yes, it was my good lady - we settled on a compromise between Fred West and Steve Pemberton in the end, depending on where he is in the hair dying process.
