Despite the doom and gloom surrounding the club and the poor, dismal end to the season...I was seriously considering buying a SEASON TICKET!
The general opinion on this site seems to indicate that there may not be a club to support by next season.
Do I buy the ticket and continue to support the club or will I lose my money?
In these insecure times one does not want to throw ones money away...and it would hurt even more if my loss was due to someone else's mismanagement and greed.
What is the general view here on purchasing a season ticket?

dont do it, pay by the game is better. The club makes more that way and you wont be out of pocket if it all goes tits up come december.

If you buy a season ticket and the club goes tits up you will not get any money back. Don't buy a season ticket if you can't guarantee to be able to get to 80% of the home league games, i.e. you'll never be ill or have family engagements on a Saturday or a Monday evening. Don't buy a season ticket just to get preferential rights to big FA Cup games, they happen to rarely, and its cheaper just to join the Supporters Club for that right. The club makes more money from Season Tickets because its money up front and for next seasons budgets they will already have included around £20,000 for season tickets. If you want to make a statement that could make the club think a bit harder, and give Panter some work to do, then don't buy a season ticket and pay on the gate instead, that way you still get your football, you arent caught out if things go wrong or can't get to the game, the club don't actually lose out financially but Panter and Hampson are made to work for their money.

Well i for one will be buying a season ticket again. However I will be doing it on my credit card for security. Well worth the £3 charge and I know that it goes to the club up front. If I can't make all the games so be it, if I can great.

No dilemma Steve, don't buy one. I have made my decision.

Any money paid to this set of directors will only extend the death throws of WCFC.

Don't do it. I've had a season ticket for several years, but now is the only time I've been able to show my disgust at the lying, money grabbing s***s that are in charge and will not be giving them any money up front. I don't know what is going to happen to this club that I did and still do love/been obsessed with, for 30 years. Today may be the last game ever for me. I can only hope things turn out all right in the end, but doubt it. DON'T BUY A SEASON TICKET!

It's a sad day for the club when dedicated, decent, honest people like nick turn away from the goings on at SGL.

One less here next season. Anyone else hear today the rumour that the club intends to resign from the Conference and play Southern League next season, to save on travel costs and allow more local games?

I have never got the concept of 'season tickets' for a club with the attendances of City. Unless, of course, you really are going to attend over 80% of the games.
I mean are you really going to be turned away? "coz it's all ticket and there are none left" - Based upon the results of the last 5 seasons - I think not.
Season tickets....not for me.

So why not go into administration if this is going to happen anyway? That way no debts. I suspect they can't because it would endanger "the Project".

I have heard on the grapevine that the directors are pleased with the number of advance sales of season tickets.
Does anyone know if the new books have arrived at the club yet?

Are the season tickets being sent out yet? When I've had one I've always collected it from the office. There is no need for them to be posted as they can be used in only one place and you'll be going there anyway to use it.

Unless of course you're buying one as a present for someone else, which reminds me of a story told by a steward at Stamford Bridge when I was doing a conference there once. He used to have a season ticket and sat in the stands, and in front of him one season there were two empty seats, every home game two empty seats! Until a Boxing Day game when a man and his son were sat there. He asked them how come they hadn't been to any games before the Boxing Day game, and they told him that the chaps wife had bought two Chelsea season tickets and given them as a Xmas present to her husband and their son!!! Chlesea fans hey? don't you just love their wives!!!
