For my money another undeserved home defeat; we were every bit as good as Eastleigh, whose only game plan was their offside trap (which worked to perfection except for when Craig found himself onside, but hesitated thinking he was off and the chance was gone) and their set pieces. What a boring negative bunch. City very industrious and deserved better.
We have now seen all the play-off contenders, and lost undeservedly to the aforesaid Eastleigh, Hampton & Richmond and Chelmsford. The only play-off contenders who beat us fair and square were Hayes & Yeading, the rest are not worth promotion.
AFC Wimbledon are quite deservedly top, given the way they try to play football and entertain, and I think they'll walk the title. But after Man Utd's defeat @ Fulham what do I know?

Well, I never thought that I would ever agree with you Tim. But yesterday was an improved performance on previous games. Eastleigh didn't look like a promotion chasing team. To many petty fouls were committed by them. But for Barnes giving away a stupid penalty it might have been a draw. Again the team seemed to lack the knowhow of how to turn defence into attack at times. But perhaps that is because we have two defenders for the management team.

Two poor sides in my opinion, i'll be glad when the seasons over, i only go now as i've got a season ticket, it is a sad place to go, no atmosphere. I won't be buying a season ticket for next season after seeing all the "old guard" laughing and joking in the directors box, with Prescott sat in his old seat next to Boddy, Camper(working?). What a joke, i think they are taking the the P--s out of us all.

"after seeing all the "old guard" laughing and joking in the directors box"
That's because they'll be rich soon, and we won't have a club.

I wish the team and management all the best though.

WTF !!! Prescott sat in the Directors Box? If he really cared about the club and the supporters, Mr Hampson should have asked him to leave! but of course he's proved himeself to be all piss and wind, totally impotent! From a shareholders perspective, I hold Prescott along with Boddy to be totally responsible for the steady decline in the finances of the football club over the last 10 years. It is because of Prescott that the club is now rich pickings for the property developers, instead of a serious football club! Hallmark must have thought he'd died and gone to heaven when he realised the level of incompetence of these buffoons. Yet they still have no shame, no sense of "doing the right thing" and no dignity. They just sit there rubbing salt into our wounds. Decent loyal supporters like Mark, Ealing and salmon don't deserve that kind of treatment - do something Hampson!

Mmmmmmmmmm! Disappointed we lost of course, I think City deserved more out of the game. I agree Prescott has no place taking up a seat in the Director’s area. Not a sensible or wise decision!

Surely after all the points made at the AGM and afterwards at Hampson's ' Meet the Supporters' meetings, he should not be kicking us in the face by allowing Prescott the hospitality of the directors box, and, I presume the board room.

This "Credit Crunch" must be a Godsend for incompetent business folk. It allows them to lay off workers, keep themselves in pay and cover their own failures with a simple shrug. Let's not forget. though, that the incompetence of Boddy and co. was in full swing during the biggest boom this country's ever seen. They were either useless, or this has been a deliberate policy to run the club down and ensure the sale of SGL and the move to NW had to take place.
Either way it's shameful.

He's all piss and wind, he talks a good story, sounds like he really cares - and then does nothing. Just like he did nothing about the re-statement of the accounts, the review into the ownership arrangements of the Social Club, the review into the funding of the Social Club, and the review into the running of the Supergold. These were all requests made by shareholders (not supporters but shareholders) at the AGM. These were all commitments made by the Chairman to the shareholders, these are all commitments that he's failed to obligate. I think that 4 months is a reasonable amount of time to give the Chairman to act on these requests, I think its time for a letter to be sent to the Chairman to address these shareholder concerns, they'll all be detailed in the minutes of the AGM, which every shareholder is entitled to upon request.

We were also entitled to a free and fair election. Did we get that?

JCP, you are absolutely right. I advocated giving him / them a fair chance......... They have had that & basically done nothing except carpet the social club & put in a couple of TVs I would question if the lack of reporting on the accounts was illegal. EALING, regardless to the fact that you, I & almost everyone else didn't agree with it. It was a fair election

This is supposed to be the "on the pitch" section and the subject was City v Eastleigh. Most of you seem to have digressed into the usual "John Philpotts" (see Worcester News weekly column) type rant.

Its no rant, I think people are entitled to be a little peeved when they are having the piss taken out of them by someone like Prescott. One of the outcomes of the City v Eastleigh game was that a couple more people have decided not to buy season tickets next season, probably far more telling than a fairly meaningless 1-0 end of season defeat.

I also am now only attending home matches because I have a season ticket which I won't be renewing next season. Had my first taste of Premier League Rugby yesterday (Glory hunting), breath of fresh air. A genuine local derby, loads of travelling fans, a positive atmosphere around the place even though they've probably won less matches than WCFC. A thriving social club/pub scene before, during and after the match including live bands. Decent hot and cold food. Four adult tickets for the price of three. A perfectly good family day out. Looked nothing like a credit crunch the way supporters were spending their money and a record attendance of over 12,000 probably reduced by the fact that some folks stopped at home for Mother's Day. ........Impressed.

You definitely caught things on a good day..... Sixways and the Warriors fans have been suffering a similar depression to City this season, with many regulars questioning their season ticket purchase. But it can all change in an instant.
