Hi Guys With our first visit this weekend we're bringing a few up on the players coach and hope to investigate some of the finer establishments before the game. Hopefull gonna arrive at around 1 so can you reccomend a couple of decent pubs within about 10 minutes of the ground? Naturally we'll also be visiting the club bar as well. We may have a couple of Dads with kids (aged 12-16) so will need to know if they let the kids in or we'll just leave them tethered to the nearest lamp post Cheers

The Dragon Inn on The Tything - which is about 5 minutes from the ground is a good spot: www.thedragoninn.com/

My request is that when you get back on the bus, you leave all the points behind.
Bringing 12, I heard

I wouldn't recommend going into The Dragon with kids as the rather obnoxious landlord is likely to ask you to leave. The Plough in Deansway (about 20 minutes from the ground) is a good real ale pub (with local ciders and perries too) and is run by a Worcester City fan (Matt) who attends most home games. He will also arrange for a taxi to get you to the ground if you like. The Cavalier which is less than a minutes walk from the ground (next to the canal) usually has 2 real ales on and also does food.

Kids are allowed in the Dragon at Lunchtime, but it doesn't stop the landlord being a "jolly nice chap". The Swan Inn has two real ales and Setanta and is less than 5 minutes from the ground, at the top of St George's Lane North, turn right and stay on the same side of the road, the Cav has also got 2 real ales and has Sky.

How can an accurate description of someone not be allowed on the swear filter?!

Sorry - Daz - forgot about that
May I suggest the Saracens Head - which is just over the road from the Dragon.
It has Sky, Real Ale (incl Deuchars IPA) and a covered courtyard down the side.

Can someone remove that post with the incredibly offensive swear word in it? I'd go for the Plough but 20 minute walk is a bit optimistic. So the Swan and Cavalier.
