How many times have we clashed on Saturdays? It will be interesting to see the fair weather egg chasers' faces however.

"Yes if they stay up, the lower WCFC crowds will be.."
It won't have any effect at all. And I join Manc in hoping they stay up. The more success our town can boast the better for the area. Success at the Warriors may even be a positive factor for WCFC - success breeds success.

Ballack-s If you can't see that another local sporting club in competition for floating fans is 'successful', it's going to have a negative impact on our crowds, even if it's only by a couple of hundred, as people only have ltd.amounts of time & £! Hope the egg-chasers go down and the sooner the better.....they're not there by merit, but because Duckworth paid for them to get there! Still at least he's no Russian oil thief!

If I was a "floating fan" living in this area I honestly don't think I'd visit the City. There are plenty of league football clubs within an hour away and the quality is much better. A floating fan who is prepared to watch the worriers would surely falll into this catagory.

OK the quality at WCFC is not great, but it's a third of price of big local clubs such as Villa, Blues, Albion, Wov-les etc. Plus you have the hassle of parking/traffic etc.

There are plenty of league football clubs within an hour away and the quality is much better. But what about entertainment value? I think it is equal although having watched the sterile drivel at Villa Park yesterday I do wonder if non-league isn't more entertaining on average. The fan facilities are better at the full pro level but you pay for it - Wembley £1.80p for a bag of crisps?

They have to pay for the stadium overspend somehow! Actually that should read "we have to pay for the stadium overspend somehow"!
