What a farce that is.
Will we see the club survive as far as the first Newport County game next month - sadly I think not...

What did the accounts show ? That the social club wasn't doing all that well. Mr Hampson welcomed suggestions from anyone looking to take it on and make it a jolly place to have a pint.

I feel sick
I honestly did not thnk they would be able to get away with it
I suggest we all join the Trust and get helping them to form a plan for when the football club goes into administration. And also a campaign for the truth....

Well well well The AGM ended & most of the SAG group left before the decision to hold the AGM was made, & I think that pole may just have resulted in another member being voted on !

What a carve up!!!!
The candidates M. Pinches received 44,478 votes for and 44,311 against, Prescott received 43,741 for and 37,773 against. But the powers that be declared Prescott elected.
I ask you?
Nothing has changed. The bar will still be losing money because the man who runs it does nothing to encourage anyone to use it, other than match days.
And will the 3 really resign in January???

Jimbo the votes were already stacked up against any change - them reading out the proxy votes in advance showed that.
A very sad night.

Very true ealing. That is why I asked for the proxy votes to be declared before we had a vote on the EGM resolutions, as I believed, as with the AGM, that there were not enough poll votes in the room to make a blind bit of difference to the outcome.
When the proxy votes were made clear I went home, there was no point, however much I wanted to see Prescott or Partridge make way for Martin Pinches.

The decision not to hold the EGM was made before those results were read out.

That Pinches thing was illegal/dubious(no surprise there!) so maybe the whole 'election' can be scrutinised?
Btw, nice to put a few names to faces;a certain individual was a good 10-15 yrs.Younger than I imagined! ;-)
& seems heresy, but only as up specially, see anyone who makes it down later(It was either that, or go in the Curzon Ashton end! ;-) )?
Generally the AGM was an interesting insight;our 'chairman' looks like Bamber Gascoigne!!

Just goes to show that the general feeling amongst people on this forum is not representative of the shareholders of the club at large, a point I made a few weeks back.
People on here throw around insults and accusations like confetti, but many do not even have shares, and some of those that do don't bother to turn up to the AGM! Apathy will kill this club not Dave Boddy.

After last night I'm joining the apathetic brigade. For whatever reason the board have been re-elected. I can't see anything changing. I don't want a penny of my money going into their incompetent coffers so I'll be canceling my Teambuilder/200 club membership and wont attend any more games at SGL.

That's going to be a great help ealing.
Am I the only one on here who realises that the "old board" no longer exists, there are just four individuals left who now make up a minority 33% of the new board. You wanted change, you've got change albeit not quite what you wanted. But how can you condemn this new unit without giving them a chance ?

Yes, a sad night. But not unexpected.
The easiest thing now is to walk away, to think that it is all over. The harder/hardest thing will be to stick around and begin to plant the first seeds of AFC Worcester. Of course it won't be easy, but with so many strong people assets on your side, it would be difficult to fail.
All the shareholders who come on this MB and are vehemently opposed to what is going on should look to offload their shares as soon as possible- for you have seen from last night that they make no difference whatsoever. The black hole that is WCFC will simply swallow all your money (not to mention time, effort and energy).
It is patently obvious that the club wants to go one way and many supporters want to go the other. Then let it happen. Fighting from a position of inferiority will not get anyone anywhere, whereas putting the same strength of feeling behind something positive (sorry, I'm sounding like IDIFF now) can only be a good thing.
And I still haven't heard a single word from Alasdair Haywood-Wright!!!

The 200 club has been cancelled for a while - Teambuilder cancelled last night - GC and I did not go because it was a foregone conclusion what was going to happen (the result was known earlier this week and last night was just going through the motions)- it would have been far too depressing to see it in action and I do not think I could bear to see the smugness on certain individuals faces.
Good luck to RD, there will be no more funds for players wages, so there will be no long term future.
Thanks for the memories - will not see you down the Lane again
