We all know that these have been used to the board's advantage in the past. I'd be interested in the legality of how they are obtained in order to use them. I have a son living in Australia & one in London, both of whom are shareholders & both registered at my address. Neither have recieved the AGM / EGM notice. I will want to use their votes at the meetings. How can I be assured that they will a) recieve notification & b) a proxy form. If these are not recieved, would this be sufficient reason for us to request the overturn of any decisions made which we do not agree to ? AND for those of you who know me, you WILL already know where my support lies !

Believe me the legality of this and many other issues is being looked into very closely

It's clear that the board will do anything to cling on to power, just what tactics they use will be interesting to see. I suspect the use of proxy votes will be one tactic. It could take every available vote to remove them. I'm fearing the worst - i.e. that they will cling on. Then I think it will be time to question whether to continue supporting WCFC.
As BDS said, the directors can point at criticism of them as betrayal of the club, and "guilt-trip" supporters. It's not the same thing at all. However, like many others, I've come to the point where I refuse to support the current regime, so if they stay in charge it may be time to walk away. Very sad.

I will be taking all my share certificates with me, but will there be accurate records for those shareholders who don't?

A few questions,
How many people in total are shareholders of WCFC?
How many shares do theses people hold between them?
If shares were issued to people who have since died, what is the status of those shares now?
If I have 50 shares, do I have 50 votes (1 per share) or 1 vote as a shareholder?

It's interesting that some of you have already had notice of the AGM, when my letter said that the details would not be posted until today. I'm still waiting for the 1st letter to arrive for my two sons. Any advice on how I can enure that they recieve that letter & more importantly how I can ensure that I can use their votes on their behalf. Will an e mail authorization suffice ?

About 650 active (ie not deceased or gone away) from the last published count although we may have a few more now as they seem to bringing them in by special train. Is there a special offer on? 1 seat on the Board for every packet of cornflakes or something? Dead people cant vote. The shares belong to their heirs or if they died intestate to the Duchy of Lancaster (or Cornwall I can never remember which). Anyway the largest shareholder in the Club is probably HRH Charles, Prince of Wales. Shall we send him pre-completed proxy form? Oh and you have 1 vote per share in a poll vote. I where a ballot is held. So you have 50.

I have a strong feeling that after the AGM/EGM they will still be there and the club will be heading down the pan Although it pains me to say this, I too feel that it may then be time to walk away. Very sad indeed.
