Yes we were poor last night. First half we spent the 1st 40 minutes playing balls onto their defenders heads as we tried the over the top routine time after time. It was only the last 5 mins that we started using our fullbacks and playing on the ground with some success. BRT could have been at least 3 up by half time. 1st goal was a number of defensive errors on a slippery surface. The second BRT used the extra man on the back post well. 2nd half was alot better (again) but lacked any real bite up front. In fact not sure their keeper made a meaningful save all game. Of the new players, Clarke looked a little hesitant 1st half but couldn't really be blamed for either goal. He then made a cracking save second half. Owen and Troy were poor thus their subbing at half time. Davies played second half and certainly looked to rally the other players. He had a couple of nice touches but we need to see a bit more. Other key concern for me was the way our midfield kept exposing the defence esp 1st half. For me Jamie Price is not a central midfielder and the sooner he moves out left the better. Bampton did ok but needs match fitness, hopefully his injury at the end isnt too bad. Dinsmore and Richardson had decent games. Marco lacked service, but my MOM (for his second half performance) was Shabir but only just

Glad to hear Shabir is still consistantly excellent. If he doesnt win player of the month for august I am going to demand a recount and sulk for ages!

It seems hard to stop players doing this, but they've got to have more confidence to work the ball around on the floor playing keep ball.
