The forwards will work your defense very hard, Marna is deadly. Kettering are a physical team not who are not against playing dirty.
Watch out for Jon Brady he is a spiky character who likes to stir things up.
If we had, had a decent ref yesterday there could have been more bookings and maybe even a red.

I think we may already have seen this season's champions; their one weakness, based on Saturday, is their goalie.

Some of these posts make unbelievable reading. This was my first game of the season and I havent commented on it yet as its unfair to comment on one game, but we werent that bad. And Kettering were fluent but not brilliant. We'll see far better teams at SGL this season including those who won't win the league. Our only weakness looks like in defence where we do look niave leading to long ball stuff. But when we get good ball to the midfield we are creative and Nwadike is a real find although probably the only new signing who looks to have made a big difference. But thats only based on seeing one game, maybe if I see the same at Telford I'll change my mind. I do think that not replacing JT is a big mistake.

The defence will need a good few games together to settle down before we can see if they are a good blend. So far there has been limited opportunity for them to play together due to various injuries and now suspensions. The fact we are conceding two goals a game shows is a result of the inability to put out a settled back line. It means we will start the season with a handicap in terms of points but the league is not won in August or September.
At the other end Webby's two goals in two games bodes well.

It's only my opinion but I don't think you will (not unless City draw a League club in the F A Cup that is).

Dont get me wrong kettering are a very good team however. when we played them it was just that they were the better team on the day. i dont think there is anything special about them. we lost 2-1. but also had players missing

Mark of a good side - play poorly and win!
