Sounds terrible!
Hope they don't have to merge with Solihull as well. That would really make it a bad day.

.... and we'd lose our three points!!!
Seriously though, its really bad news for anyone supporting a small football club, it could be the end of Bognor Regis Town. I hope they have the strength (and the money) to bounce back

Taken From BR Forum.
A massive fire has torn through a football club's ground just as the new season gets underway.
At its height more than 60 fire fighters tackled the blaze at Bognor FC's Nyewood Lane ground.
The cause of the fire is under investigation but is strongly believed to have been started deliberately.
Residents living near the ground called emergency services just after 5am on Friday.
The blaze had taken hold in outbuildings and in the Conference South club's changing rooms, seriously damaging them Around 25% of the ground's clubhouse was also destroyed.
Fire fighters had the blaze out relatively quickly and by 7am were damping down and attempting salvage work.
Bognor are playing away to AFC Wimbledon on Saturday but are scheduled to have a home game against Maidenhead United on August 23, which may now be in doubt.
The club is expected to make a statement later in the day.
Have just rung work and confirmed it WAS NOT the changing rooms involved and it was just the clubhouse. Still shocking news but at least there were not two fires!!!!

If it was just the clubhouse it is a separate build which also housed the food bar, and should not course them to play at a different gound it just means the fans will have to stay sober and go on a diet,or bring in mobile burger vans

Unless of course the building is deemed unsafe, in which case the fire officers might close off the whole area within the ground.

But seeing the building last Saturday it was not very tall and it was made mainly from wood so it could easily be cordoned off, then again what do I know about health and safety,or even football, and it might not be the same building.

Just looked at the picture of the clubhouse fire and it is the building I thought.

I know losing to City is bad but there really is no need to react like this.. What a nightmare for BRT. Hope it all ends well.

You know nothing "my friend" Don't you just hate people who refer to you as "my friend" when they don't even know you??

Not sure I agree - I always say Cheers mate (in Aussie) when someone gives me my change!
