I think the influx of new players (when confirmed) is just a ruse to sell more programmes; we'll all have to buy one to find out who's who.

Our potential signings being highlighted on this message board, thus tipping off other clubs ?
I've read it all now ! I hope I'm not giving anything away but I think we're looking for " cheap " players who live south of Worcester ?

Bampton Promises to sign. He hasn't actually put pen to paper yet.
'There's many a slip twixt lips and paper.'
I'll believe it when they say he has signed.

There is plenty of time yet to sign new players Tony, dont get too worried. I have faith in RD finding his team. Redditch are in the same situation and I am sure so are many other clubs.
This new team is going to be of his chosing, his honeymoon period is over, he will have to get results. We cannot blame AP any more. Well I might because he was a pillock!

Preece's troubles began when his sidekick left.

You reckon, it was Jock that kept telling him he was the best player in the team! The pair of them were a disaster area, only topped by the board of directors for incompetence.

After reading the official site, Bampton does seem to be well known to RD, I would assume if he says he will sign he will. There are some men of honour out there Tony, I know it is hard to believe, with the examples we have!!

Well as its on the main WCFC website Bampton MUST BE a done deal.
Proberly just as much of a done deal as Nunnery Way had the contracts exchanged.
Nice to see weston-super-mare back in the league, maybe we should move into their ground with them, looking at the pictures of the ground it looks like a nice place to go.
Proberly safer too.

How come clubs such as Weston can move into new grounds in a fraction of the time thats its taken us, with a business plan that supports growth WITHOUT the need for enabling development? Weston looks a a decent non-league ground, probably similar to what we'll get in phase one, although it was said that with a low level of overage, phase one will be three sided, that is, nothing but a 1.5 metre wide concrete path along one side, two ends probably uncovered, and a main stand.

Its time we stopped thinking the club is a Sleeping Giant, its not, its a small non-league club like Weston. In fact, its probably not in as good a shape as Weston. There's no giant sleeping at SGL or anywhere else in Worcester!!

Sleeping giant ? More like we've been in a 25 year coma, with the bank being the life support machine !

Perhaps we should rename the club to 'The Rip Van Winkle FC. '
Although he wasn't a giant!

well the news on the thread that was pulled is now in todays copy of The Sun. I trust Boddy and Lancaster are running round desperately trying to buy up all copies nationwide and also frantically trying to crash the internet in the hope that all managers in England and the management teams of Lech Poznan, Dynamo Tbilisi and Maccabi Tel Aviv (all big fans of the player involved) continue to be unaware of his availability.

Citing that despicable lying rag as a source makes me more inclined to think it's not true.

Perhaps this means that the Sun scouts around the non league independent message boards in pursuit of their latest scoop. Or has the player or his agent made it common knowledge about the negotiations so that he will be able to secure a better deal elsewhere now that other clubs will be aware of his potential availability?

"... the Sun scouts around the non league independent message boards.." I think not, that would imply they can read.
