I have to admit I am pleased that Boris has won, he is a total buffoon but he actually seems to be determined to make a difference.
I just wish he would have a decent hair cut

Yes but has he any idea HOW to make a difference? Ken made a difference, London is the only place in the Country where you can actually use public transport efficiently and efffectively.

Exactly. Boris hasn't outlined a single policy. Anyone could say they'll cut crime and reduce gang culture - but how? Well we'll see now. Ken isn't exactly my favourite person - but he did make a difference to this city.

Give him a chance, I used to admire Ken as he stood up for what he believed in. He has become surrounded by his cronies and has lost touch with reality.
I dont think the result has any thing to do with Brown, people just wanted a change.

I think Ken Livingstone is probably the least "cronied" politician I can think of, and one of a very few who does have a grip on reality. Maybe being a full time politician has something to do with it.

So what you are ACTUALLY saying is:
Boris was by by far the best candidate and I disagree profoundly with my colleague.
