The disabled facility has still not been put back in place. We were informed that it had been moved to enable the Santa Run to have a safe start and finish. What about the safety of the supporters and the inconvenience to the disabled supporters. Where is the club's loyalty to them. If there is a problem in manpower surely an appeal for help would produce the required man or woman power to move it.

Could there not be the possibility that the occupants prefer the view from up higher.

They couldnt get in it if they tried with a wheel chair or scooter Neils! Plus it is unstable. It would be a better view and would be easier than that slope down to the proper place. I have only noticed one regular gentleman using it maybe we should ask him. I thought it was odd it was still up there on saturday. Come on directors you can get this sorted out or do you want Andy Bullock to organise a team of volunteers? I have to say I like the extra space to cheer the team off (especially as so many stay these days) but that is purely selfish on my part.

HAHAHAHA here we go again webbtony having a moan about the disabled facility.
Could it be that its also been moved so that people don't get hit with the ball.
THATS SAFETY ASWELL.
To be fair its the safety of everyone, staff and supporters, not just an individual supporter such as yourself webbtony.
Use a little bit of brain, for the sake of every sane person here.

Oh Dear, Preecy, resorting to abuse does not do anything for your image.

Well, Allnighters, perhaps when they see it on here three times, after ignoring messages on their own web site they might do something about it.

Preecey we are all at risk of being hit by the ball, I have on several occasions been saved by a ball on the head (one of those was Pat!) by my beloved Mr T. So I find that arguement rather silly.
I do think there must be a better position for the disabled viewing area as it is obstructing the area that everyone likes to stand to cheer the team off (and abuse the ref!). I also find it very hard to see anything down the far end from there (that may be due to failing eyesight mind). There has to be a better position for it.

And moaning constantly all the time does something for your image does it!
Where was the abuse in the message? - saying your slightly brainless, I'm sorry thought i was stating a pure fact.
Apologies to all the good and polite supporters on this forum.

Gobby Cow, most people can defend themselves by catching the ball, a disabled person may not have the reactions like you or me and being so close to the pitch it would hit them before they could do anything about it.
The club have to move it all the time to get the equipment onto the pitch anyway.
There is a great place to put it but its getting the wheelchair access around to that part of the ground.
Instead of having someone such as webbtony moan constantly about this and other things every game, maybe we need to have the view of someone who actually uses the disabled facility and see where they would like it to be placed.
Im not having a rant at you GobbyCow but we are fed up of this person moaning every week.

If some of you use your brains before you open your sarcastic mouths on here, you would see that he is right about where the disabled stand has been left. Also, there are some very sharp edges on the plates of metal which, if it catches somebodys ankle, could give that person a very bad cut and they could sue the club. Under the disability act the club has to have disabled facilities. Preecey, please put your brain into gear before you come on here with your stupid claptrap.

Right! So putting that stand back at the bottom of the ramp will stop people getting hurt by the the sharp edges, I think not. And regarding the disability act (THE CLUB MUST HAVE DISABLED FACILITIES) It does have disabled facilities, at the top of the ramp!
IF ANY OF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE DISABLED FACILITIES BEING AT THE TOP OF THE RAMP THEN TAKE IT UP WITH DB OR A DIRECTOR AT THE CLUB AND STOP WASTING PEOPLES TIME WITH YOUR MOANING.

preecey I have no problem with your comments on the disabled facilities. I prefer it at the top, your cruel comments about Shabby and Troy I cannot condone!
Does the ground have disabled toilet, I have never noticed it?

Shabby can have a good game at times but other times he is like Adam Burley, looks like a different planet. but Troy needs to start scoring or he could find himself sliding down the pecking order because Matt Dinsmore is better im afraid to say.

I have not seen the new wonderboy yet so I cannot comment, but I do think you have been very cruel to Troy and Shabby, and as both are local I would watch out that their mums don't come down and slap you!

It is hard enough when you are able to stand, but try it sitting in a wheel chair. Why don't idiots like you try using a wheel chair for a day and see how hard it is to live a near normal life and still enjoy watching sport or something simple like going to the shops or even going down to the pub. It might put a different light on it, or should we say, 'We do not what your sort down the Lane inconveniencing us fit and able people'? I think not!

The disabled stand must be in a position where it is most convenient for those who need its facilities and provides the same standard of viewing as for more able bodied customers, providing it is in a position of safety. Thats the end of it!!

The only access and egress suitable for all disabled customers is via the main gates, therefore, the stand must be in easy distance to the gates so it can be evacuated in safety. So that rules out a disabled stand anywhere other than behind the goals at the Underwood end.

Well well, Preecey, so you are a steward down the lane. Well I think we are going to have a word with your main man and see if we can get you some training on Health and Safety, because if you are a sample of the stewards we have got, I fear the worse. Maybe you should consider handing in your yellow jacket, and paying to watch the games like the rest of us.

Well Mr Layland if your so special we are looking for more stewards.
We are looking for good intelligent people who can do a good job.
Of course for you there is the ball boy job or the toilet cleaners job, you know for the more simple minded people. (NO OFFENSE TO CITY's BALL BOYS/GIRL).
Maybe you can turn up early on boxing day and join in with our meeting before the game taking part at 9am.
OR MAYBE
You can keep your opinions to yourself and get off your high horse, and turn into a proper human being like myself and gobby cow and allnighters etc etc etc

Colin I doubt the club have given the stewards health and safety training. It is not his fault that the disabled viewing area is moved. It it was bothered about health and safety the ladies loo would have been condemned years ago,

I spend a lot of my spare time down the lane as a member of the grounds committee, doing odd jobs, trying to stop the ground from falling down. That includes the summer months when a few members of the supporters club and I strive to make it possible to get it a safety certificate to play football down the lane. As you used the word special, for 21 years I was a member of the West Mercia Constabluary, and, by the way, there is an age limit to being a steward which counts me out. I really do think we are going to have to get you some Health and Saftey training.
