There are some complaints on this board as to how AP was selected as manager.
I seem to remember several posts at the time, saying that AP was available and the man for the job.
Short memories, some folk!!!

I really don't care so long as he's of a decent standard, its such a lottery anyway this football management business, but all I'd ask is 1. He doesn't have to make a 300 mile round trip to home matches and training 2. His players don't have to make 150 mile round trips to home matches and training 3. He has contacts in and around the Midlands football marketplace - not Greater Manchester 4. He's prepared to look at local youth talent, and understands that not all the youth footballers in and around Worcestershire want to do a 2 year Sports Science course at Worcester Tech. Why should Evesham United and Stourport Swifts have a bigger and better pool of 16-18 year olds to select from? In short, whoever takes the job should be in a position to build the best squad he possibly can from the best available players, not just the leftovers from North. I've done shedloads of interviews in my time and one thing I've learnt is that the guy who interviews best isn't necessarily the best man for the job, he's often the most well practised and experienced interviewee!!! This begs the question of how many you can fit under City's shed?

There is a problem with poaching a manager, money.
A new manager will want a couple of new players, they always do, plus we will need to compensate the team we nick him from, we havw no bottomless pit.
