Carsten, going back to your original post re Spetchley objectors. I for one will defend their right to oppose any development, whether it's a football ground or a supermarket, even if I don't agree with them. It's called democracy. As a past member of the planning committee, I know that decisions were always made on the facts put before us, and not because an objector doesn't want something built by their house, or because a football club will go out of business if they do not move, and just for the record I know two City Coucillors who will not have a vote or say when the decision is made on the plans because I am a proud share holder of Worcester City Football Club.

me too colinlayland I will defend anyones right to oppose a development however I will also defend anyones right to propose a development regardless of their financial clout and/or ability to fund an appeal which will be costly for both sides. My point was that it does seem a little unfair that you suggested that decisions on whether to oppose or not could be made based on the ability of the proposer to sucessfully appeal.

Brave words hinding behind a pseudonym. mmmm but there again a pseudonym protects me from a concrete overcoat. And if a pseudonym is good enough for John Wayne and Mark Twain then its good enough for me. It didnt do Willy Brandt any harm either.

The only problem is Jem, that no matter what pseudonym you hide behind, you always give yourself away eventually. Brooksider, TAFKAB and now carsten, what next we all wonder...

Although avoiding capture by the Nazis is a good reason for using a pseudonym.
