Well there it is. Cannot say the appointment thrills me or fills me with confidence but my view is probably clouded by memories of his time as a player. Clearly a talented player who did not fulfil his potential . Let us hope, that like many other successful managers who never quite had stellar careers they wanted ( Clough, Ferguson, Klopp etc) Chris relives his playing dreams through a successful City side. On the evidence so far he has proved effective as a manager. Fingers crossed his ambition and talent matches that of the Club and that we have a period of stability and a decent second half of the season and go from there.
