Disappointing to lose 0-1 with an own goal but a very much improved performance. I don’t think Wellingborough had a shot on target. All the players put in a real shift and it’s clear the team were playing for this management team. After the first 15 mins we settled down and competed really well and in the second half were the better team. We just lack a cutting edge up front. All the lads did really well but a special mention for the young centre back Louis Salter, Cam Ebbutt looks a great signing, Aaron Roberts was dominant and magnificent in the air (as usual, Ryan Glenister was excellent and also a mention for Adam Harrison who had little to do but his distribution was outstanding. All in all there’s a foundation here on which to build and the future suddenly looks much brighter than it did a last Wednesday!

A much improved showing from the last three games , better organised at the back and didn't deserve to lose this one with a own goal.We had a young side out there with Stewart Watkins bringing in Glenister from the reserves with Louis Salter on loan . We just lacked any cutting edge, height or physically up front. This gives us the foundation to build on with local young players to firstly avoid relegation and build a squad to next season .

I wasn't at the game yesterday but both comments above sound positive and the City featured younger players, again. Hopefully any newcomer(s) maintain that philosophy and don't shred it like the previous ones.
