Fielding 5 new players the City team showed a pleasing cohesion. Comfortable in possession the ball was knocked about with purpose and control. Defensively while not completely water tight they looked far more resilient than previously this season. At the other end chances were created, if not converted, which was quite pleasing on a blustery day. While in midfield the visitors did not have any time on the ball as the City battled throughout and made better use of the ball. While the scoreline indicates a narrow victory it was fully deserved and offered hope for the rest of the season. All players contributed which was pleasing. One hopes with more time the new players will gel further.

Yeah, I agree the scoreline doesn't tell the whole story. Uttoxeter, I thought were pretty good, but we outpassed them and defended excellently. Impressed with the new lads and can see us getting comfortably out of the danger zone by Xmas.
