The Tim Harris interview showing how frustrated he was with the pitch and facilities at Claines Lane highlights there has been a problem since the start of the season. He says the pitch hasn't has been worked on for last two weeks and cost the club two games and he needed to speak to the chairman and the WFA is not giving the club value for money. The board need to get on the case of the WFA for urgent remedial work to the pitch, this is a basic requirement to maintain the pitch to a safe standard. The club are paying the WFA big money for this basic facility so need to get value for money for its outlay . The last thing we need at moment is to lose the manager through not addressing his concerns.

When do the WFA plan to install a 3G plastic pitch at Claines Lane ? Surely as other small non-league clubs have proved, this has got to be the future.

There's one there already. Thanks I did not know that. But may I ask then why are games still being called off due to the weather? I thought the whole point of a 3G pitch was to stop games being called off due to flooding etc? But then again what do I know

There's a big cage around it with no real facility for fans to watch (barriers etc).

I'm assuming 24 hours later, it's still not playable? The women are playing on the plastic pitch.

I had the opportunity very briefly to walk on the pitch last night (retrieving a football from the Under 18’s match on the artificial pitch vs Gloucester City - great game drew 2-2) and at the bottom end of the slope it’s very very soft and boggy, my feet sank into it. Looks like the groundsman has been doing some work on it but I can’t see it drying out too much and the slightest drop of rain would put the next game at risk.

No great surprise I'm afraid - To anyone who has played football in Worcester in the last 50 years, the " County Sports " pitch on Claines Lane was always the boggiest and muddiest in Worcester whenever it rained. Shock ! Big slope = bottom end boggy. Games always got called off, whoever played on it.......County Sports, Worcester Raiders, us.
Not like that nice flat, well draining place called Perdiswell - I wonder if that would be a suitable place for a football ground ? Answers in a brown envelope to Worcester City Council, Guildhall, Worcester.

There's a big cage around it with no real facility for fans to watch (barriers etc). Would it not have been better then to have BOTH pitches as 3G ? Then these constant postponements would (hopefully) be a thing of the past?
