The boys done good. Despite being a goal down on 35 seconds (was he offside?) they battled back and deserved Witto's equaliser, then taught Shepshed a lesson in how to win with ten men after Kurtis picked up a silly second yellow. What a finish from Luke English for the winner! Thoroughly deserved win, showed real grit and character to win that against a side unbeaten all season. (until the previous week anyway, my mistake, thought they'd drawn at Quorn)

My first game for 12 months and thoroughly enjoyed it despite the cold. Team battled really well and always tried to play with the ball on the deck. How were Shepshed unbeaten? They were pretty solid at the back but lumped it forward mostly. Decent gate with maybe 30 away fans

Shepshed weren't unbeaten: they lost their first league game of the system only last week.
Thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon, despite the awful start (35 seconds according the guy next to me). Kept playing with grit and determination and the two front runners ran their hearts out. Craig Jones was a tower of strength, but it would be unfair to single out any individual as that was a good old blood and thunder cup-tie and they all gave 100%.
What a wonderful time to score the equaliser: must have made a difference to the half-time team talk! What a finish from Luke English too (another tower of strength) - a real thunderbolt. Despite being under the cosh from the moment we went down to ten men you always had the feeling City could squeeze something out of the game, and so it proved.
If I'm right, because we made the last 32, we get exemption from some of the early rounds next season. Now for the draw! C'mon City!

A very committed team performance, especially after going a goal down so early, then down to 10 men. The midfield 3 of Rowe, Withington and Lockett ran like duracell bunnies all game, closing down and always looking to get the ball back if they lost it. Jones was immense at the back with the ever improving Hall not far behind. A deserved victory where they all played for the shirt, and each other.
