time is tight is WCFC, in more ways than one... we are where we are for reasons from the past, so now is the time to rebuild & that is going to take some time, we need to put a squad together & not keep bringing players in for the odd game just because it seems a good idea.
also wondering what the board are doing with the management as earlier in the season the chairman said we had to finish in the top 4 or things would change, well we wont finish in the top 4 & no one is saying what players we are keeping, yes i know we have signed a few, I know we have probably got Dan in goal but no mention of backup as Sam said he is hanging his boots up, other players have said they have not discussed next year, seems to be leaving it a bit late & where was Snapper yesterday.

Paul, I think you've missed some news somewhere along the line. At the AGM it was confirmed that the Club would be sticking by Snapper and Ash for next season.
In terms of players Moran, Jezeph and Harrison are all signed and sealed.
Chats have been held with some players but majority will wait until the season end, we cannot register anyone yet anyway, if you remember we signed Robbie Bunn last year in principle but before we could register him he decided to bugger off to Highgate and play under his mate.
Fact of the matter is, we can agree deals with everyone, it wont stop them turning and possibly getting a better deal elsewhere

The truth of the matter,as far as I am concerned, is that watching City,at Bromsgrove at the level they are is not an enjoyable way to spend an afternoon.I don't get much free time so I like to use it as wisely as I can.I am sure I am not alone in this. Did go today and it was an utterly soul destroying afternoon. I wish time is tight wasn't played as it immediately transports me back to the Lane and makes me feel worse than ever!!! Oxford - at the start of last season you told us the standard of football at this level was awful and I disagreed with you. When we had the likes of Hughes, Hayward, Birch we sometimes played decent stuff. This season it's been poor most of the time, so ultimately you have been proved right.

No, I’m not making that correlation, you are. I am specifically referring to the fans that have been doing that. I have been critical of the team this season, but nice straw man you’ve knocked down there. And I wasn’t accusing you directly of being one of those, I was using the term “you’re” in the collective sense rather than directing it at an individual. Of course you were making that correlation, otherwise why bring it up? You were either directing your words towards me or the original poster you quoted, otherwise it was nonsensical to bring up at all. You called the original guy you quoted ‘stupid’ and then in reply to me started making wide aspersions about the fans shouting abuse at players. Why would I not take that to mean you were talking about me? And if you’re not talking about me, you’re still suggesting that your opinion is more valid than that of the majority of the fan base. I wasn’t using a straw man, these are the natural inferences to be made from your posts. My original point stands. You kind of went off on someone for making a pretty reasonable criticism. That was indeed, unnecessarily harsh.

I’m not going to argue semantics with you Genghis, or allow you to drag me off topic. No doubt you will post a reply to this as I’m sure you’ll want to have the last word, but I’ll be leaving it at this.

That's the way it is at this level. No contracts for the vast majority, 7 days notice etc. I doubt many of the players have got a clue where they want to play next season, and why should they? This season hasn't finished yet, they've got the day jobs, some will be considering university offers, or other education considerations and others thinking about jobs. And their mate becomes manager at XYZ FC and they want to give it a go, or a big club like Redditch or Evesham comes along! And it'll be the same for the players that the management will be thinking about bringing in, most won't want to commit to anything until July at the earliest! Its the pre-season money-go-round that I've mentioned in the past, only now we're even further down the food chain.

We need to hope Bromsgrove and Alvechurch get promoted, as there will be some players available then who aren't good enough for the step up but would suit City.
