Another game we should have put to bed before the customary late sucker punch. To make it worse, they had two shots just miss right at the death !
Baldwin had a great first half, beating his full back time after time, and putting some good crosses in, but we just don't have anyone with a strikers nous, or a goal scoring midfielder. Both Evans and Harrison worked hard up front, but both lack a decent first touch. In very difficult conditions, WSC battled hard, and watching, you could sense them growing into the game, when they realised our limitations. Second half, Baldwin hardly saw the ball, and we tapered off as the game progressed. Their keeper made a couple of saves, but WSC could easily have nicked it at the end. On a bitterly cold freezing afternoon, I did question my sanity, tried to remember Nobby's team as light relief, as well as wondering how we can't beat mediocre teams who just have mainly endeavour to offer. A draw was what they deserved.
At least, clutching at straws, we've finally stopped playing tippy tappy around the centre halves 25 yards from our own goal, finally moved Forsyth into midfield, where Attoumani at least gives us a physical presence. Whatever the management might say, 6 points out of the last 21 tells its own tale.

Another hugely disappointing afternoon against the team at the bottom of the table. At one stage they looked to be hanging on but gradually realised that as long as it stayed 1-0 they had a chance. It goes without saying that it was an awful mistake from Jamie Smith but maybe the conditions played a part.
We have now won only one of our last 7 league games and will go into 2019 without a home win in the league since October.
The attendance was 200. As far as I can tell it's our lowest crowd for a Saturday home game since WW2.
These are really difficult times for the club, both on and off the pitch.

Post by zeke on Nov 25, 2018 at 3:33pm With only 2 home games in the next 7 weeks and none at Xmas/New Year, this result and no improvement could see the end of the season for many fans. The attendance was 200. As far as I can tell it's our lowest crowd for a Saturday home game since WW2.
.....looks like Zeke may be right.
Tuesday's game against Studley is classed as a home game, so I fear we may break the record low for a home City first team game.
