In my opinion Snape is throwing money pointlessly on wrong players. We have loaned out Bates and Evans when at the moment my three year old daughter would offer more upfront than our strikers. I’ve seen Kyan and Bates linking up on a Sunday and it reminds me of Heskey and Owen of non league football and I’m guessing they cost combined as much as that tortoise turts. Then you have Baldwin who from what I have been told is on less than the gateman who don’t get me wrong at times looks like he’s won a competition to play for his home team but when he’s at it is far more important than your big earners like Jezeph Harrison weirs Forsyth etc. I’d like to see Stods have a go centre mid I think he’s much better on the ball that foz some of his 40 yard curlers are too good for a centre half a real ball player I’d have him in there and foz at the back. Then don’t get me wrong Jezeph has done ok but let’s face it a sniff of a move to a team higher he’d be off like Usain bolt, paying him a lot of money when you have Gilder and the forgotten man Matt Gwynne, not seen much of gilder but heard he played for England farmers team. Gwynne I thought when he played this year played brilliant very quick across his line. I just think when you’re paying big money on certain players who really aren’t world beaters you should get them off the books play the the likes of the ones I’ve mentioned for a lot less money then bring in players that will win you things. I’ve been to most games this year a lot may not agree but I feel the money could be used a lot more effectively.

Oh dear oh dear.
I always love how everyone knows how much each player is earning. I speak to most the players, most the backroom staff and most the board, most weeks... and beyond a couple of them who have outright told me what they earn, I've no idea who earns what! I can tell you none of them are on "big money" though!

Well I'm on a cup of tea a fortnight, but have to bring my own sugar. To be fair, like myself you do get double pay for midweek games!

Looks suspiciously like rats leaving a sinking ship to me: then again Tyler is nothing like the player he once was.

Ok, here's the rub. You get offered a job that is three grades higher with a better team at getting on for a 400% pay rise, which also happens to be nearer your home. Now what are you going to do? Stay where you are or take the new chance? I know which I would choose. Rats and sinking ships? Hardly.

I'm with Teej - can't blame him at all. He'll play better in a better standard. Good luck to Tyler.

Agree with the above, it's hopefully a good move for Tyler, his best opportunity to play at a higher level and earn a decent wage for a non-league footballer. I think some people are still of the mindset that we're a Conference North club, let's remember we're in the MFL and whilst I have no idea how much any player is paid, it's surely not big money.

Yes, a rather silly comment, if this is rats deserting a sinking ship, how come this particular "rat" has rejoined the sinking ship.....twice!! Its like this. We are in a regional pub league at the very fat end of the pyramid, very few player contracts, and very few player commitments. Seven days notice usually means that the player is off somewhere else, and if they get the offer to go up a few leagues? Why not? And Tyler is not a rat, a wanderer, a boomerang, but not a rat. He always put 100% in whenever I saw him play. The original poster on this thread also has no idea about running the football club. There is no money, let alone "big" money.

Or about the players and positions they could play. Bates and Evans are the non league Heskey and Owen ! By our count up yesterday Tyler has played 242 competitive games, more than Danny Mac, Steve Fergusson and many others. He isn't leaving a sinking ship, he is just going onto a cruise liner from a different port, and I know Tyler well, he loves this Club and will one day come back

It may be pure coincidence, but the return of John Snape has seen a dip in form: when we were on a long unbeaten run the side was actually being managed by Ashley Vincent. Just saying.

Would be a good move for Snape, and right now a good move for City too. A chance to get someone else in, fresh ideas and a broom through the squad.
