Happy to do this but I thought the planning inspector would base his decision on the appeal on the reasons given by the councillors in Worcester for refusal of the original application and not on any other matters.

Whilst the appeal remains in limbo, and with a new chairman at the helm, I would ask the question - are we sure about Perdiswell?
Twice I have been to Bilford Road on a Saturday to see youngest grandson play football and the traffic - and roadside parking - was a real problem. I had to wait six or seven minutes on the one occasion just to pull away from the kerb because of the sheer volume of traffic; so I can see why the locals have cause for concern.
Just saying.

Why park on the roadside? There is more than adequate parking at Perdiswell already, with more parking as part of the planning application. The traffic surveys show that traffic levels on Saturdays at the times of matches are not an issue, and this was fully accepted at the planning hearing.

I presume you are referring to "Little Perdiswell" which is on the corner of Bilford Road / Droitwich Road, which has the same traffic management in place as on a School Day. IE None whatsoever. Why didn't you help the traffic, which by the way is you, by parking at the massive car park 200 yards down the road. The planning application for a Football Ground on Perdiswell has a traffic management plan in place for a match day, why don't you help your grandson's football team and the local resident's by suggesting they implement one?

Absolutely right Richwidd Couldn't agree more.Lazy parking just gives the nimby's amunition and adds credibility to their claims.

We don't play first team matches on a Saturday morning. And why would visitors to Perdiswell park between Bilford Road and the school anyway?

Tim - I'm sure as are others, that we're all waiting to see where you actually watched your match, as I'm struggling to see the point of your comment ! Was it
a) Perdiswell ( the Trust's intended site for WCFC which has an approved traffic survey plan )
b) the field on the corner of Droitwich Road and Bilford Road
c) Little Perdiswell ( the field next to Metal Castings, opposite the old park and ride )

The field on the corner of Bilford Road and Droitwich Road; the point of the comment was to say I've been up there on a Saturday and the traffic situation was difficult.
Perhaps instead of being so dismissive others would like to have a look on a Saturday when the kids are back at school and the junior leagues have started, and they can form their own judgement.

Yes its been done on many occasions, at all times of the year. It was a mandatory requirement as part of the planning application, and a robust transport plan was presented, and this, along with all of the traffic survey data. It has been accepted by the planning office, together with the planning committee, that this is not an issue.

As I previously stated, we don't play on a Saturday morning. The situation Tim describes doesn't exist on Saturday afternoons.

Tim, for the love of everything holy, please stop giving the PPP zealots and their political paymasters ammunition to incorrectly use against the Trust, Club and Planning appeal.
It doesn’t help one iota.

That wasn't the intention: if I'm going to be wholeheartedly pro something I need to know that all the i's have been dotted and t's crossed. If you're all sure they have that's fine.

Have I missed something? City hold a very successful Youth Festival - and they hold it on Perdiswell: where's the difference between that and a first-team match?
I didn't notice any of the local populace writing to the paper protesting about traffic etc.
