Having watched AFC Fylde in the cup last night and remembering City's final game in NL1,against them(and we played well) just shows the difference between the two chairman's visions and where we are now. Then a good result for our friends over in Hereford, and if they should win the replay, a Premiership club could be on the cards for them. This is what might have been for WCFC, if the Chairman/Director's and their loyal supporters tried listening to the Supporters and the majority of shareholders. Take a good look at what has been achieved in the last 8 years SFA. It could be time to start a phoenix club run by people that care. Oh I forgot we did not play in the FA Cup did we.

Woodenose...I was thinking much the same as I looked on from afar with no small tinge of green envy around my gills. It made me think of two things
1. The football hotbed of Fylde is hardly deserving of such a magnificent set up. Most of the supporters looked startled to be there. The lucky gits!
2. I have been denying for a while that I don’t give a flying *&£# for the Club as it it is presently set up and run. It turns me cold. The sooner it shuffles off into oblivion the better then we can see what can be built from the ash, dust, smoke and mirrors that remains. That is why I am critical of those who support the existing regime...they are simply denying or delaying the rest of us the chance to watch decent semi-pro footie locally.

Second post since self imposed exile but, again, something non controversial I hope!Continuing in the same vein of what can be achieved ,I fell in love with Sutton Utd a few seasons back, after a supposedly one off visit one week (when City were away somewhere too far to get to after working I think). At that time they were mid table in the Ryman league and gates were I think, about 500. They were never meant to be more than my "closet" second club but happenings at WCFC have altered that. They are an extremely well run club who have also had a bit of good fortune in the cup and are now sitting at the top of the conference ,with a 3G pitch which means the stadium is in constant use,and averaging over 2000 a game due to an enlightened pricing policy. I felt guilty "jumping ship" to begin with but no more. They deserve my custom and support.WCFC deserve nothing.

Nice to see the spotlight on Hereford tonight, hope they get a decent team and a chance to progress further. If only our Chairman had the foresight, Worcester City could have played in this great competition, if the team fail to get promoted this season, then it is the same scenario for next year. Thanks Mr Hampson.
