I'm sure Snape's absolutely thrilled that none of his transgressions are being taken seriously by a good portion of users on this site. I'm absolutely shocked that so many of you are willing to fiddle while the club burns. John Snape is the kind of guy who drunkenly flirts with players wives right in front of them, knowing that they all live in fear of him and his lackeys. How so many of you can defend and support this man is beyond me. Explain lackey ? Sounds like a bouncer Dictionary definition of Lackey = A brownish European moth of woods and hedgerows, the caterpillars of which live communally in a silken tent on the food tree. Just about sums up genghis' mad ramblings.

Just about sums up genghis' mad ramblings. Google 'lackey' and what you posted is the second definition. Interesting that you didn't post the first. Are you trying to hide something? Synonyms for 'lackey' include flunkey and stooge. It doesn't really matter which is used, all I know is that John Snape has a lot of them.

I think the moderators of this site should "out" Genghis so that we all know who he is; he can then be confronted and we can inspect the truth of these apparently scandalous accusations. If not true then they are libellous. And I don't hide behind a pseudonym.

I see there were 90 or so fewer attending than there were at the opening match. I wonder what the break even attendance is for the season? At this level (step 6) I would guess around 100 to break even. Although for us it will be more as we have to rent to BS for the use of VG.

I think its a fair amount more than that for City. Last year charging £13 for adults, and with a crowd of circa 600, we still managed to spend probably £150,000 more than we brought in. Even if we reduce overheads by the full £150,000 we'd still have to have more coming through the gates at £8 for adults than we did last season. I've worked out that our income from gate receipts, with an average crowd of 400, will be about 60% of last season.

What you seem to be suggesting is some form of lynch mob. Even for Snape's boys, that's pretty extreme.

I've worked out that our income from gate receipts, with an average crowd of 400, will be about 60% of last season. I agree that 100 doesn't sound like it would be anywhere near enough. I am guessing that average revenue will be around £6 to £7 per head when concessions, complimentaries, directors etc are taken into account. So, say, City average 300 at home (might be more if the team has a good season on the pitch) that is just around £1,000 per week during the season plus sponsorship and commercial revenues. Someone on this board suggested that we are paying players £150 per week and if that is right as an average then taking overheads and ground share costs into account I am struggling to see how the Club can break even? If the team on the pitch keep banging in the goals and are at the top of the league then the average crowd could swell towards 350 - 400 but in reality who, other than a few die-hands, are going to turn out on a freezing February evening to watch City play the likes of Loughborough University? ( I know we don't play them then but it's a general point). I suppose what I am getting to is whether the Club is planning to run at yet another substantial loss in order to gain promotion back to the level at which the Board wanted us to play at this season? If so it would be a risky strategy and possibly a risk too far?
