We're running out of games to get 'survival' points.......not sure if we'll get anything from this one. Stockport have a solid away record (as in only 15 goals against) and we've got no strike power. Still, they may bring 400-500 supporters which will help to bolster the coffers ready for next season.......playing wherever. I'm sure the Crab Mill will do a good trade Dodger.

Stockport, Salford, Fylde - we need to win one of these three games to stand a chance of finishing above the relegation zone. Why not today? It will need us to play to the best of our ability and for Stockport to underperform but this is football, it does happen, as we've seen with other results recently.
Snapper has commented about the home fans getting behind the lads and I understand his point. There isn't much more to offer on the pitch other than effort and commitment. We've been pretty quiet at home off the field this season - well there's not been much to cheer about - and we know the Stockport fans will make some noise, so maybe we should make some of our own? It would be good to have one last hurrah before the season evaporates and the focus shifts to what happens off the pitch.

With us and Gainsborough both drawing and Fylde needing an injury time goal for a draw and Kiddy winning, it makes the end of the season at bothends very interesting still

Can't see Gainsborough getting anything against Kiddy next week. Maybe a chance against FCUM the final game.
If we don't get anything against Salford, even though Fylde are faltering, they might need the win to get promoted. So (for me) one of the most exciting ends to the season for a while!

An excellent from the lads and, if it wasn't for 2 or maybe 3 excellent saves by their keeper, we could have won. Play in a similar fashion next week against Salford......and who knows!
Stockport did hit the bar late on, but did Nathan have a save to make? .....i don't recall one.

I feel as though it's groundhog day yet again. Another game we should have won. We dominated the first half and should have been at least 2-0 up, with Stockport not getting a kick.Second half was more even, and we had that vital bit of luck, when they had a shot crash against the crossbar. We deserved more than a point today, but I've said the same thing time and again this season. Defensively we were as good as we've been all season, with very few unforced errors for once, and Nathan Vaughn in goal certainly gives the back four a calmness. Jordan Keane gave his all once again, whilst the returning Junior English gave us that physicality that we've missed. We just can 't finish, missing 4 good chances in the first half. The application and effort was there, it's just the finishing. Still all to play for.
508 away fans in a crowd of 940 made for a great atmosphere, in what was an entertaining 0-0.
The only worrying note for me was the gossip around the ground, that the club had enquired about voluntary relegation. I certainly hope that is not the case.

Really enjoyed that game, even though the last ten minutes was a bit nervy; pity Chekaine had to go off (hamstring? did he come back too soon?) as I felt some loss of momentum after that. Definitely should have been two up by the break and as someone above said I'm not sure Nathan had a real save to make.
Whatever we might think about the result you cannot fault the players for effort today: they were magnificent.

I thought the players gave everything but didn't quite have the rub of the green. That said County had a cracking shot rocket back off the crossbar, that would have been an injustice had it gone in. Cracking atmosphere thanks to the travelling support. Excellent drumming as well, but glad I was in the stand. Generally an excellent game, no quarter asked or given played in a good spirit. Hoping for a similar performance but a better result Saturday.

Cracking game. Not only did we deserve to win but tried to play decent football throughout. Thought the whole back 4 (+ Vaughan) and Jordan Keane were excellent.
Once Murphy and English went off though, we have no punch whatsoever up front, and from then on only Stockport looked like scoring.
Hopefully the fact that Kiddy still have a (long) shot at first place means they will turn Gainsborough over next Saturday....

I find it quite amusing how Stockport bring 500+ who "sing their hearts out for the lads" only for the team to turn in an abject performance. Whereas we stay mostly silent and it's one of the best performances I've seen this season.
