As Jem Pitt stated,
" If Lee Hughes is brought back , then I think that that is a very valid call to make regarding relegation. Don't get me wrong, I like Lee Hughes, and in my view he should never have been released. His enthusiasm rubs off on everyone, and there aren't that many players that'll join you for a smoke after a game! But its pretty clear to everyone on the terraces that, if Lee had stayed, City would not have been relegated. And likewise, if City had really wanted to stay up, there's no way Lee would have been released. If it was really about money, then release 4/5 other players, and keep Lee, he was that important in terms of staying up, and then move him into a managerial position for next season. This is looking more and more like an engineered relegation."
Engineered indeed. What chairman and Board wants a sly relegation ? If they had let me know their intentions, why would I have bothered going to watch, when it didn't really matter what we did on the pitch ? The result at Fylde saved the Chairman from having to say anything about their real intentions. Because the Board ( this one and many previously ) can't be honest and tell the truth about their hopes, aspirations, coming back to Worcester, actions, all things financial, anything that they say or do is treated with complete distrust by most fans, as we've all heard it or something similar many times before. Hampson has followed Boddy into running the club into obscurity.
So level 5 here we come, plus what money is left are the next two revelations.
