I just read that Leon has a 10 match ban after his sendings off and then verbally abusing the ref in the car park after a game. Is this the same Leon Kelly who played for us? Apart from his flailing arms when he ran he seemed the most mild mannered of men.

This must be Leon Kinelly a close relation.
Leon was always sorely tested by defenders who used to hack at him as the only means to stop his raw power. It used to amaze me how he resisted retaliating. He must have been having a bad day for a non footie reason.

Me too Some of those defenders deserved 10 match bans, Kelly always kept his calm so well.

I was likewise amazed to read it; Leon always took stick so well I couldn't see how he would get a red card even. Must have had a bad day.

He got a red card recently didn't he for elbows? That's most unlike Leon, who I always felt was able to walk away from trouble, despite the stick he continually took. I can remember thinking Leon to have been very lucky to not have been sent off on at least two occasions for violent use of an elbow when playing for City.

Still, it's good news for us, seeing as we play Hinckley as our second match.

I was appalled when I heard this story from Mr T. I never heard Leon complain once to a referee when I watched him at city. What has come over him?
He may have been in a dream world most of the time but he was always very well behaved.

I think he must have been tipped over the edge on this occasion, everyone cracks at some time.
