OK ... so I didn't include the mighty Bishops Cleeve.
Fancy a re-match with the Harriers? Not me ... would like to avoid a long pre-season injury list.
Rovers at the Lane please.

Pre-season trouble we can do with out. Give Hereford and Harriers a miss I'd say. Cheltenham will do for me, although I'd prefer a big name like say Sc***horpe!
I originally put Scunthorpe in full, but see how the mighty anti-swearing software has worked!

Newport County, Bath and Halesowen would do for me in the two week period leading up to the beginning of the season, played as competitive style league games following 'warm-up' games against the likes of Bromsgrove, Evesham and Gloucester.
I would alike to see a friendly against a Eastern European 'fruit pickers' eleven, perhaps played somewhere like Ledbury, in an effort to build interest in the Club amongst the large, temporary workforce in the area.

As it appears we're playing in Conf N again - how about a tour to Brentford, Hayes and Harrow? Nothing selfish in that request of course.....

Did anyone go the Beveren? indeed we did, one of the most enjoyable weekends with the City ever - would love to do it again! must add that was my best ever away city trip........nice hotel, good company, brilliant sunshine, great day in Antwerp with TJ and "wife to be" and a very close 7-1 defeat with Mark Owen spoiling the Beveren party against "one of the top club sides in England" or so they thought!

indeed we did, one of the most enjoyable weekends with the City ever - would love to do it again! must add that was my best ever away city trip........nice hotel, good company, brilliant sunshine, great day in Antwerp with TJ and "wife to be" and a very close 7-1 defeat with Mark Owen spoiling the Beveren party against "one of the top club sides in England" or so they thought! Twas a great weekend, as you say the best ever with City. I shan't forget the looks of amazement when the mixed grill arrived, or the horse steaks, the wandering through Beveren half cut after an afternoon of sun and Jupiler, the delight when Webby scored - KSK 4 Bezoekers 1 at the time, the looks of horror on the locals faces when we were allowed in their bar after the game. Other funny bits - the Beveren players being told that we were an English Championship team to make them play - they had refused to play when they thought it was against a non-league side. Most of the local crowd didn't know the slightest thing about City either, they spent the first twenty minutes wondering why their team was battering this English side, it hadn't dawned on them that they were several leagues higher in standard and that we were actually playing rather well in the circumstances! The only downsides were the ****hole in the ticket office who wouldn't help, and the ridiculously petty segregation they imposed at the start, making the 21 of us (inc. mostly women and children) stand in the baking sun on the open terrace in case we caused a riot. There's bureaucracy and there's bureaucracy, and this was petty and pathetic, thankfully common sense prevailed in the end.

"There's bureaucracy and there's bureaucracy" but there's nothing like Franco/Flemish bureaucracy - to them it's an art form.

I hadn't realised Adolphe was Belgique. I suppose his sons would have been as well - Baritone; Tenor; Alto and little Soprano Sax.
