Is anyone of the male gender going to challenge this unlawful promotion where ladies are being given preferential treatment courtesy of their gender? Would there be any volunteers willing to turn up at the ladies entrance and demanding free entry?

I can imagine their is going to be a police presence to cope with all the men in drag demanding free entry with their voucher from the WN.
I trust my posh outfit and very expensive designer hat will not get ruined in the scuffles

I do not have a voucher (I only read the Worcester News online) so cannot demand free entrance. I hope that someone gives this a go though, because it will be hilarious to see their response when quoted the Sex Discrimination Act!

Blimey that was quick, already got a couple of emails from people saying they will gladly challenge this. It could be quite a fun day at SGL tomorrow, lets hope the Worcester News are there to capture the real action

I have e-mailed the editor of the Worcester News to ask why they have taken part in this illegal promotion. I await his response.
If anyone has a spare voucher and would let me have it, I am going to try and print off the Sex Discrimination Act 1975 today (if I can get the website to work!) and will present it to whomever tries to stop me at the gate from gaining free entry.

Great idea - however I assume the Trust funds will increase by £11 for each person getting in for free.
Actually could be quite funny to have someone stood next to LB in the forecourt taking £11 of people as they walk through free !!!

I will happily give my £11 to the Supporters Trust if I am successful, it is the principle and not the money that matters to me with this one.

I will be waiting inside the ground to collect all the £11 for the trust from those who get in without paying, and I do not think they will be calling the police in because they will have to pay for them.

If I can get hold of a voucher, and my legal argument succeeds, I will hand over the £11 gladly.
If I am then discriminated against tomorrow on the grounds of my gender, I will consider taking a complaint to the County Court. Having taken legal advice this morning, I am confident that I would win such a case.

This whole thread is ludicrously petty; forget about this sex discrimination rubbish and concentrate on your main task: getting a Board in place that can competently and effectively run the Football Club.

That is what they are doing, by highlighting the stupidity of this ladies day idea!

As GC says, I am trying to highlight the incompetance of the Board of Directors in running a promotion that is very likely to be illegal.
The Club has a history of discriminating on the grounds of gender. Does anyone remember when they auctioned a place on the team bus, but stipulated that no females were allowed!
This whole farce around "ladies day" shows that we have a Board of Directors who are stuck in the past and need to be shipped out ASAP.
Petty? Maybe, but there is a method to the perceived madness.

I will not be arrested because I will not commit any public order offences. If I can get a voucher, I will politely ask to be permitted to enter the ground free of charge, as to refuse me this right whilst granting it to a female would be unlawful direct discrimination under the Sex Discrimination Act 1975.
If I am refused I will ask to speak to the Chairman and if he does not want to allow me in on the same terms as a female, then I will pay my entrance fee and take further legal advice on a challenge through the Courts.

I am also "working from home" today and I've been able to have a conversation with "the Worcester Racial Equality Council" who seem to think we have "good grounds" to make a complaint on the grounds of "Gender Discrimination". Have also phoned Worcester News (tel 01905 742265) who are "less helpful" am awaiting a return call from the Editor Kevin Ward who seems to be "busy in meetings today".

Maybe this line of attack has a valid nuisance factor against Boddywood, however shouldn't we be concentrating our fire on matters such as finance?

Maybe this line of attack has a valid nuisance factor against Boddywood, however shouldn't we be concentrating our fire on matters such as finance? I believe this is also a "financial matter", the offer of free admission for all female supporters is in fact reducing the finances available on matchday. Some regular female supporters will be using vouchers to gain free admission tomorrow (rather than paying their normal admission price) and thus reducing gate receipts for tomorrow's match. With the current state of the club finances, the last thing WCFC needs to be doing is deliberately losing gate receipts.

This "Ladies Day" idea was announced what, a couple of weeks ago now? I still can't get my head round just how far out of touch the club's supposed commercial saviour is with his target market.
Is IDIFF really expecting a whole load of women to come down to the Lane to watch crap football and potter round a few trestle tables? Surely not. Not only is this idea potentially putting the club to the sword over the flouting of the Sex Discrimination Act 1975, it will also be costing the club money. No way are local women who wouldn't usually come to the Lane come along just for this, what will actually happen is that the few females who do attend matches and who aren't season ticket holders will produce the voucher and get in free, thus costing the club £11. That in itself raises another question - what about the female season ticket holders? The club are discriminating against them by offering free admission to potential new customers and those who haven't paid in advance.
This is quite possibly the most brainless idea the club have come across in years. Surely they can't really expect the local lasses to attend in their droves? Not that we will ever see a balance sheet from this venture of course, but I'll bet you £11 that it loses money.
I'm glad you do it for free IDFF, because if you were charging the club for this sort of hare-brained and ill-conceived scheme I'd want a f***ing refund. Rule one of trying to make money from people......get to understand your customer.

The following equality document has been produced from the FA's link above. Club Equality Policy and Complaints ProcedureAnother way of tackling offensive, insulting or abusive language or behaviour is by using the clubs own policies and procedures. Having a clear equality policy and complaints procedures says to the outside world that you take these issues seriously and that you intend to deal with them in a clear and coherent manner. It offers a framework for the whole organisation as to what its values are and what constitutes unacceptable language and behaviour. Below is a sample equality policy and complaints procedure that you can adapt for your own club. Equality PolicyThe aim of this policy is to ensure everyone is treated fairly and with respect and that Worcester City Football Club is equally accessible to them all. Worcester City Football Club is responsible for setting standards and values to apply throughout the club at every level. Football belongs to, and should be enjoyed by, anyone who wants to participate in it. Our commitment is to confront and eliminate discrimination by reason of gender, sexual orientation, marital status, race, nationality, ethnic origin, colour, religion or belief, ability or disability and to encourage equal opportunities. This policy is fully supported by the club officers who are responsible for the implementation of this policy. Worcester City Football Club, in all its activities, will not discriminate, or in any way treat anyone less favourably, on grounds of gender, sexual orientation, marital status, race, nationality, ethnic origin, colour, religion or belief, ability or disability. It means that Worcester City Football Club will ensure that it treats people fairly and with respect and that it will provide access and opportunities for all members of the community to take part in, and enjoy, its activities. Worcester City Football Club will not tolerate harassment, bullying, abuse or victimisation of an individual, which for the purposes of this policy and the actions and sanctions applicable is regarded as discrimination. This includes sexual or racially-based harassment or other discriminatory behaviour, whether physical or verbal. Worcester City Football Club will work to ensure that such behaviour is met with appropriate action in whatever context it occurs. Worcester City Football Club is committed to taking positive action where inequalities exist, and to the development of a programme of ongoing training and awareness-raising events and activities to promote the eradication of discrimination and promote equality in football. Worcester City Football Club is committed to a policy of equal treatment of all members and requires all members to abide by and adhere to these policies and the requirements of the relevant equalities legislation, ie. Race Relations Act 1976, Sex Discrimination Act 1975 and Disability Discrimination Act 1995, as well as any amendments to these acts and any new legislation. Worcester City Football Club commits itself to the immediate investigation of any claims - when brought to its attention - of discrimination on the above grounds. Where such is found to be the case, a requirement will be put in place to stop the practice and appropriate sanctions will be imposed. Club Complaints ProcedureIn the event that any member feels that he or she has suffered discrimination in any way or that the club policies, rules or code of conduct have been broken they should follow the following procedures: 1. They should report the matter to the club secretary or another member of the committee. The report should include: i. Details of what, when, and where the occurrence took place ii. Any witness statement and names iii. Names of any others who have been treated in a similar way iv. Details of any previous complaint(s) made about the incident, the date of such complaint(s), when and to whom made v. A preference for a solution to the incident 2. The club's management committee will sit for any hearings that are requested 3. The club's management committee will have the power to: i. Warn as to future conduct ii. Suspend from membership iii. Remove from membership any person found to have broken the club's policies or codes of conduct. If the complaint is directed towards the club's management committee, the member has the right to report the discrimination directly to the relevant County Football Association.

IDIFF has failed to understand he customer ever since he made a fool of himself by having a go at Colin Leyland at the Whitehouse Hotel. Interestingly, I am responsible for developing a business in the UK, its part of a larger German operation, but as good as a start-up in the UK. I'm presently looking for some guidance from a business coach, I thought of IDIFF for a split second, but after laughing outloud, I decided that there are far better people out there - you only get one chance to create a first impression!!! I'm assuming that IDIFF's next big idea will be a Gentlemans Evening when there's a Monday night game, with an exhibition of local goodies to delight Worcester Man, such as manbags made of local leather, and a selection of aftershaves maybe. Gents go free of course!!! In the interest of equality!!! Of course you know its not going to happen, anyway IDIFF is far too busy trying to figure out how to get the website working (maybe the spring has broken, or the fanbelt worked loose!) AND retrospectively, as it needs to be fixed for 11 o'clock on the 9th September!! I wonder how many good volunteers have called it a day in the last 12 months? Whilst on the subject, wasn't there going to be a big relaunch of the club shop?

Unless I am very much mistaken, if the club proceed with this discrimination tomorrow, a discrimination against 95% of their paying customers, they are heading for very hot water with the FA. Can this bunch of incompetents get any lower?

If anyone is going to also report them to the footballing authorities under the Club Equality Policy - then it would have to be made to the FA directly in Soho Square - as they are Full Members.
A report to the County FA would only get redirected to Soho Square
