What a waste of time? This meeting will resolve nothing. I am very concerned at the lack of news, the late filing of accounts (albeit vastly out of date ones), the rsignation of the finance director (& three other board members earlier) and the delay in holding an Annual General Meeting of members (let alone an EGM). I want to buy 2 season tickets and renew my player sponsorship but I feel that I must hold off passing £500+ to the Club I love in case it just slips into a black hole or is trousered by the Bank. Until we are told what is going on - in some depth and validated by an independent view - then I will save my cash for AFC Worcester. I can't be the only one in this position. Totally agree - I am also waiting to purchase shares till this is all sorted out. Not alot but still extra money for the club

Another BUM move by Boddy.
What is he hoping to do by dragging RD into the mess?
This just shows his lack of ability to read the situation as it is.

First head above the parapet........more to follow?
Being an AFC Wimbledon fan who now lives in the city, but knows little of your recent struggles, perhaps this is now the way forward.....the "rebel" shareholders had little idea of how to go forward, as far as I could see

The "rebel" shareholders actually have lots of ideas of how to go forward, which involve supporters.

If I was considering buying shares for the firsttime, I'd buy them now, as a shareholder, your decision could be critical in the future of the club.

Why? if it comes to a shareholder vote, the more shares you have, the more you can vote. The only people who can influence the direction of the club are shareholders. And you don't know whether the money will be squandered, until at at least 12 months later when you get a copy of the accounts. Again , its personal opinion, but if you don't want the present rebel shareholders taking control, the only way to stop it is with a shareholder vote, and of course its the same the other way round. If you're just a supporter, then its different, buy a season ticket and you don't know whether you'll see a full season! Buy a share in the business, and if it all goes pearshape, you're theoretically in a position to have a say in the future of a new club. Plus of course the club is now cash rich (Careys must have paid at least £5 million for SGL) There might even be a shareholders dividend paid out!!!

True , but think it's about opinions. I'd rather buy the season ticket and hold back for shares when I see whats happening. Afterall surely new investment is better in a new or restructured club than as shareholder in an old club whose money was wasted . Until clarity is there giving the true story, I and I'm sure others will be wary about throwing money into a deep hole. Yes that may mean I don't have a say in the future direction but at least it means that I will know what I'm giving money in for . (ie the situation at the time)

Personally I think it is very cynical of Dave Boddy to get Richard Dryden to come to the Forum.
This is not a forum arranged to talk about matters on the pitch, it is about matters off it and Richard Dryden has been expressly told that whoever is running the club in a few months time, his position as manager is not at risk as a result of off-field activities.
It looks like DB is trying to associate support for Richard Dryden, Carl Heeley and the playing staff, with support for him and his failing Board of Directors. You can support one group of personnel, without supporting the other and I strongly believe that it is very unfair on RD to be put in a position where he has to be seen to be supporting the existing Directors by attending this Forum.

Exactly, managing the team and running the club are two totally different issues: I hardly think the Whitehouse meeting has been called to discuss the merits of 4-4-2 over 4-3-3!
Cynical is not a word I would use to describe Dave Boddy but bringing RD to the Whithouse would be a crass misjudgement; I hope he sees sense and tells him to stay at home.

Well Mr Boddy seems to be making a series of crass misjudgments, such as calling a shareholders meeting to present the finances relating to the ground move, and then find a NDA in place just before the meeting starts, or offering up the resignations of fellow directors so long as he can stay on board in a compromise deal, or stating that no-one from supporters representative groups will have a place on the board!! There was a time when I'd have put these down to crass misjudgements, but they do appear to be considered ideas, as is bringing Richard Dryden into this public meeting to try and calm the waters. There does appear to be something more strategic than just crass misjudgements in Mr Boddy's actions. I hope that he has a rethink on RD at the meeting, but, if he's true to form, the fact that people on here are saying don't do it, he'll be even more keen to have him there!!!

If RD does attend the meeting- which I think is a very manipulative move by Dave Boddy et al- before any arguements are put forward we should all give our vocal support to the manager straight away. At least to show that RD has the backing of the supporters regardless of who sits on the board and not allow DB to try and nail RD's colours to his mast. I hope common sense prevails though and RD is not forced to be there. Mixing sport and politics always ends in tears.

Can I suggest that someone who can represent the supporters but isn't linked to either side stands up at the start and says some sort of vote of confidence and basically repeats what's been said on here about him being there? Or we find out his email address and every one of us sends a message telling him not to go!

The best thing anyone can do is to boycott this meeting on Thursday. That will show Boddy and Co., that we are disatisfied with them.
That does not include Richard Dryden and his Staff.

Why is the public invited? What has it got to do with them? Supporters Club and Trust members maybe but this should be a meeting to brief the owenrs of the Club? Isnt this too important to leave it open to being sidetracked.
The attendance for this pre-season friendly(!) will be very interesting but I would be surprised if it passes 50.

Don't know what your problem is. Go to the meeting and give Boddy & Co a damn good slagging. Don't worry about Dryden, if he's intelligent enough he'll soon realise its got nothing to do with him.
