Thanks for the reply Althom. I@ll keep trying. Not a fan of "Tweeting", but may have to Bite the Bullet. Shame about the Worcester Neews. I might try and get to a game soon. C'mon City. Hi Jim. If you are willing to join Twitter and follow Worcester City, you can then turn on notifications whenever Worcester City tweet, so during games, you will get a rolling update on the game straight to your phone as notifications (you dont have to use the app then, or go hunting for the updates). Hope that helps

The first 20 minutes I thought we were awful, and looked totally lost in the midfield. A really great turn around, and then some fantastic defending to keep them out. It was tense at the end though. Yet to be convinced by the new signing Tilbury in the middle. Would like to see Maphosa come back in, and Roberts move back in to the midfield, where I think he is more effective and has more control of the game.
Overall though, a crucial 3 points. Roll on Saturday for another massive game!

Birchy will be back in a City shirt soon hopefully this weekend! Think we'll need him!

Tim, Arron Roberts is not available this Saturday due to going away, will be a big miss for us with all the injuries and suspensions. Ady, thanks for clearing up the reason for the absent Bailey Fuller , still no mention if Arron Birch is still at the club or injured, agree with the set up at Boldmere . I asked this question the other day and was informed that Birch is on compassionate leave and will be back soon.

Could do with some rubber ducks in that pond. Adopt a duck (to help raise funds towards ground improvements)?

Well, that was a really enjoyable game to watch, and a hugely positive performance. That first 30 minutes we absolutely ran them ragged and should have scored a couple of goals. Second half was really solid and the midfield looked the best it's been for a good few years. Set us up nicely for the season and I'm feeling even more positive! Only gripe - It seems that Brain and Reynolds don't really work well together on the pitch at the same time. Both are always looking for the shot, where the pass would be a better move.

Dear City Faithful, Two years ago I helped form Worcester Sorcerers Baseball Club. The club has grown now to just under 30 members, both men and women, and we're playing every weekend throughout the summer. We've also, this year, found a permanent home at Norton Village Hall. We've kicked off a crowdfunder to help us with the final bits of building and upgrading we need to do to our field, and to help make it the best baseball facility in the Midlands. If you are able to help contribute to the cause, any donations would be very welcome! www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/worcester-baseball?utm_term=PjM2jVWVWPlease find out more about us here: www.facebook.com/worcesterbaseballclub/And, if you'd like to come and watch, we're at home this Sunday - First pitch is 12 o'clock. Thanks for reading!

In their chairman's statement he expressed that for the 2020-21 season the team will play under the name of Worcester Raiders FC and be managed by their existing management team. The wording he used certainly made it sound like it wasnt forever, so I wonder if it'll all be change come the season after next?

Time to kick on ourselves, we have to ignore their jibes online and in the press. We move ourselves forward, the only way to stop them progressing past us is to progress ourselves first. Claines is now ours to move forward and make our own (where allowed to) It’s hard not to feel a little envious. Many of us were a little bit dazzled I suspect when City were possible targets for Warriors. The profile, backing and facilities are all very attractive. But we know that route also came with some risks and downsides – and I suspect the identity of Worcester Raiders will soon be lost. And if our ambition is to be an enduring football club, owned by the fans and operating at the heart of the community – a Warriors answer may not be the best. The reality is however that Worcester doesn’t have room / appetite for two strong and ambitious football teams; even one has been a struggle. A core of fans will stay loyal to City; the question is where will the next set of people go who get attracted to watch local games…. So I agree with Verner, the next 12 months now become critical for City. We need to power on, all get behind the club and the Board, and take advantage of being back in the city while we have a playing advantage over Raiders / Warriors and before they get really established. Absolutely. the club needs to push on and compete off the field as well. Stepping up the merchandise has been a great move and looks fantastic. Bringing the rest of the off-field fan-experience side of the club in to modern times is crucially important now - especially now considering the local direct competition. the club cannot afford to become an unprofessional embarrassment, playing in a field down the road. Online/Advance ticketing for every game, taking card payments at the turnstile, utilising modern marketing techniques, even through to building an app are all things that I'm sure the board are looking at. Getting the mailing list going again too - A weekly digest of everything going on at the club, direct in to the fans hands. They're often overlooked, but vital tools in keeping people updated. The football landscape in the city is going to be a real battleground for fan loyalty over the next 5 years, and I hope we come out on top.

I hope the Atherstone fans are segregated in to the open end on Wednesday. Wishful thinking. Now now, lets not be negative We'll done for organising it this way, Kev. Everyone will be happier (well, not everyone, but you know what I mean)

Ex City players Greg Mills and Michael Taylor both scored three goals each in Bromsgrove Sportings 8-0 away victory at Leiston . Bromsgrove Sporting have been drawn at home to Malvern in the Worcester Senior cup . Mikey Taylor posted on Twitter today saying he has now scored 20 goals this season. Could do with him back!

Seems the option of Warriors has now largely gone, but judging by the wording of the article, might be saveable. We are a fan owned club, so I don't think club or trust representatives would have already turned anything down on their part. Decisions are down to the fans (shareholders and trust members) to make. Edit Saturday...I think more info is needed about the letter sent for the meeting. I've read it numerous times and I don't have a clue what I am voting about. What letter? I'm a trust member. Should I have received something?

That’s all well and good until five years later when the owners get bored. Kettering, Rushden, Hornchurch, need I go on? I support City because it’s City, not because of the marketing or the investment. If you can’t get behind your club just because it’s your club, I don’t know why people bother. You may as well declare yourself a Liverpool fan and start supporting them. So long as Sixways is a stadium, the owners will want the facility being used and making money. I can't see how they would ever get "bored". I also support City because it's City. I think that is a bit of a nonsense reply. I want the club to prosper and be successful. The only two options to me are: 1st option - Perdiswell, of course. Fan owned. (unfortunately, this looks like it's got absolutely no chance now) 2nd option - Sixways. Hand over the reigns to new owners who have the knowledge on how to run two successful elite sports teams, with a trusted track record. I fail to see another option that doesn't commit us to further years of no growth, struggling to try and break even, no success on the pitch and dwindling enthusiasm from a shrinking fanbase.

Can’t say I am. Last thing I want for the club is to be a wealthy individuals play thing, playing in from of 400 people in an enormous stadium. Seems like a lucky escape if you ask me. It could have been a whole new level of operation. Marketing, the setup, investment, it would have been a new lease of life for the club that I could have got behind.

Well done, when will people realise we are Worcester City of the MFL. We dont have the funds to bring in the likes of those players, it's about time people got their heads out the clouds and realised where we are. It wont get better staying away or constantly moaning It takes a lot for me to moan about this club, but I have totally realised that we are "Worcester City of the MFL". The "Worcester City of the MFL" is not an enjoyable place or experience to go and watch a football match at right now.

What a truly miserable state of affairs on the pitch. I really struggle to muster up the enthusiasm to go to Bromsgrove to watch this anymore, and I hate feeling like this. Unfortunately, it looks as though i'm not the only one, by last night's attendance. This level of football is crap to watch, even moreso when your team aren't very good at it.
