The proposal is for a sports hub in Fernhill Heath on what looks like a greenfield site between FH and Hindlip. A new ground etc which looks to be part of, and presumably, funded by 250 new homes. Not sure what the planning status of the land is but if it comes off it would be great. May take some time to work through the labyrinth that is the planning system though. NOTICE OF A SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING
Notice is hereby given that a Special General Meeting of the Worcester City Football Club Supporters' Trust will be held at on Wednesday May 24 th, 2023, at 18:30 at The Graeme Hick Pavilion, Worcestershire County Cricket Club, County Ground, New Road, Worcester. WR2 4QQ.
For the following purpose:
1. To discuss and then vote on the following special resolution:
"The board of Worcester City FC Supporters’ Trust believe the financial state of the club combined with the limited scope we currently have for investment means that we must consider all options to ensure the long-term security of the club.
The Club has been given an opportunity to secure the significant investment which is needed but this investment would mean the majority shareholding held by the Trust being transferred to the new investor. We have sought written guarantees and protections that would be put in place to safeguard the long-term future of the club and to retain fan influence and involvement.
Therefore, the Board proposes that the trust' 51% shareholding in Worcester City Football Club Limited be transferred to Simon John Lancaster subject to satisfactory written protections signed and agreed by both parties subsequent to this vote."
As per the trust rules, a 75% majority of those casting votes will be required to pass this resolution. At the meeting you will hear the views of the Supporters’ Trust board, the investor mentioned above and a representative of the football club board and details of the proposed protections to be put in place before a vote is put to those present.
Members who wish to vote by proxy can use the form below.
The Supporters' Trust Board recommends that members vote for this proposal.
Please note that only members signed up as of 08/05/2023 are eligible to vote on this special resolution.
George Squires (Secretary) On behalf of the board of Worcester City FC Supporters’ Trust

The WHOLE POINT of a Trust owned club is that a group 'in the know' don't make the decisions for us !!! No one has made any decisions yet, these will be made at the meeting. The board have only advised, when we have listened to what is said then a vote will take place

An application for a 3000 cap at Perdiswell would get planning permision based on winning the appeal for the larger building, this just might stop the locals from objecting.is it worth a try?

Do the Raiders pay ground rent? as I heard they do not. And would they have the funds to rent the "Lane" from W.F.A ?

A WORD FROM THE CHAIRMAN BY LEE JACKSON 19 HOURS AGO SHARE Share via Facebook Twitter www.worcestercityfc.orCOPY "Onwards and upwards" I would like to congratulate Tim, the squad and all of the staff on an entertaining and enjoyable season. After a little bit of a slow start, we produced some great football, especially at home, a great run before Christmas put us in the mix and we stayed there until the end of the season finishing in a creditable fourth position. The long Christmas break didn’t help, along with all of the injuries we accumulated, but it was fantastic to see the squad grow, and it sets us up for an exciting summer and 2022/23 season moving forward. Since the season has finished, the board and I have been hard at work, looking to move the club forward off the pitch. Sponsorship is huge for our football club and we have been working hard to secure new and existing sponsors for the season ahead. Our new sponsorship brochure has been released today, along with the new Family And Friends discount card scheme going from strength to strength. Family And Friends has already seen us connect with a whole range of fantastic local businesses, in return, giving all members exclusive discounts on products and services. For more information on becoming a commercial partner or sponsor, please do get in touch commercial@worcestercityfc.org / info@worcestercityfc.org - We would love to have you involved! Regarding Claines Lane, we have plans to improve the playing surface and are looking at improving the standing areas around the pitch for supporters. We have taken fan feedback on board, and we can assure you these are both top priority. There are also other improvements we are looking at but it all comes down to finance. Plans and discussions are well underway between The Board and Tim and his backroom staff for next season. We are very fortunate to have a lot of quality players that want to play for this Football Club. A lot of work is going on behind the scenes, and we will bring you all of the news in due course. We are really looking forward to the new season, and now with confirmation that we will be once again playing in the Midlands Football League, we will be signing off on a number of plans very soon. I’ve been asked by many supporters what our plans are regarding our playing kit for next season. Right now, we are currently engaging in discussions, and when a decision is made you will be the first to know. We will also be issuing details regarding prices of 2022/23 season tickets very soon. We have decided to re-introduce 10 match season tickets once again, based on fan feedback. Now we are back home and playing in the City, I am making a call for your help to make the Club a success on and off the pitch. We are always looking for more volunteers on match days. Even if you can only help for an hour or two, please do get in touch: chairman@worcestercityfc.org. I urge you, if you haven't already, to join The Supporters Trust. It costs £10 a year to become a joint-owner of this historic Football Club. There is also the Team Builder, which all proceeds go towards boosting the First Team playing budget. It costs just £5 a month to enter, and there are fantastic cash prizes available. And, finally, we have the re-launched NYCDA Weekly Draw (formerly known as Gold Bond) available to join for just a £1 a week. All of these contribute to making your football club more sustainable and securing it's long-term future. Finally, I would like to say to all City fans, on behalf of myself and my fellow directors, a massive thank you for sticking with us over the turbulent times in exile. We have now returned to our Faithful City and are now back in the local community where the club belongs. Onwards and upwards. Keep The Faith Steve

The boy's have scored 52 goals on this pitch which is the best in the division as of today,so all credit to them, and yes if the team stay together it is looking good for next season. Well done for a 4th place finish, some supporters thought we would not make it into the top 10

The Worcester News yesterday had a piece on Billy Shaw being out for a month. Also in that piece they say... The result put them back into fifth position, the final play-off place. I thought only second place was considered part of play offs. Anyone know if it is now down to fifth? I think the Worcester news have made a mistake as only the 2nd placed team is highlighted on the MFL page

Before Tuesday's game City had played 5 won 2 drawn 2 and lost 1, if you think that's a bad start, then I will have to disagree. The 2 drawn games we should have won, the signs are there for City to do well this season, but it seems that some so called supporters had given up after just the 5 League games. So negative

Well what can you say 2-0 up with eight minutes to go, you take off your striker who scored two and you concede three goals in eight minutes to lose the game. This poor defeat is costly to the club and its coffers, this was down to poor game management and consistent to what has happened this season. The poor performance in the league and 16th in the table is totally unacceptable to a club like Worcester City , combined with the discipline issues on the pitch and the managers actions off it. The manager has dragged the clubs name through the mud with him getting sent off against Stafford, unprofessional behavior at Lye, and the Gresley dug out incident and the criminal damage and assault on a Gresley official and his attitude towards the incident. With the club moving back to Worcester to Claines Lane and the playing management having a decent budget we should be doing better on the pitch, the board need to have a serious look at the situation before he drags us into a relegation dogfight. Why did they appoint a manager who was woeful last season and why has he allowed Hawker to leave when his defence leaking goals and problems with a number of players. I will leave it up to the board, but cannot see things getting better under the current management team. I would like to see someone like Townsend the Stourport Swifts manager who are 4th in the league on a low playing budget or Mark Owen a Worcester City legend to take the club forward and build a team ready for next season. I go to home and away games and have seen plenty of games to base my comments on this season. You can't have seen the post ,Ashley resigns then?
