Mine has to be either the cup win vs Wrexham or Aldershot.
Although for some perverse reason the cup replay at Basingstoke will also stay in my mind as one that I enjoyed !!!!
Also have fond memories of a 3-3 draw vs AP Leamington in the 80's and again strangely a 4-1 home defeat to Kettering !

City 5 Cambridge City 4 (1963/64?) Reg Cutler 3 (2 pens) John Fairbrother 2. City were ahead twice, then came back from 4-2 down. From memory, we won 4-2 in the corresponding fixture the following year, coming back from 2-1 down. In that game, our equaliser was a towering header from Peter McParland. The Weymouth 4-4 draw was also sensational, as was a 4-3 home defeat by Merthyr when we were 4-0 down at half-time and Fairbrother scored a second half hat-trick

Thanks to everyone who has posted on this thread, some great suggestions that I can certainly turn into a feature in the programme.
I'd love to hear more from those of you with memories of matches from the seventies and sixties. If i do a programme article it would be great to include some personal recollections as well as a match report. Bstander, ctod, Tim Munslow and Glevum - can you get in touch with me? My address is jupugh@tiscali.co.uk.
A few more suggestions:-
Bath 03/04 won 7-0 - Carl scored a hat-trick
Gresley 98/99 when we came back from 0-3 down to draw 3-3
Ashford 88/89 when we were 5-0 up at half-time, Melvyn Langford scored a hat-trick. I can also remember a post a while ago about Melvyn scoring in a reserve team game the same season against Atherstone that we won 6-5, although I wasn't at that game!
Arsenal Friendly 84/5, lost 0-8 - mentioned here recently
Bath 77/78 - Beat the champions, who had lost only once all season, 1-0
Burton Staffs Senior Cup Final 76/77 - Won 5-2 in extra time after equalising in the last minute via a Barry Williams special
Hereford Welsh Cup 73/74 - Won 2-0 on a midweek afternoon
And that's about as far as I can go. Anyone remember any more games from the late sixties or early seventies?

Ashford 88/89 when we were 5-0 up at half-time, Melvyn Langford scored a hat-trick. I think that this might be the game where the EN excelled itself for dire headlines with "Marvelous Melvyn hits hat-trick for super City". This was during a period where me and my mates would walk back home from the lane trying to second guess the appalling rhyming / alliteration / punnery that would be used on the Monday afternoon headline.
