What exactly is he intimating with that comment?

Don't you buy the Matchday Programme, Gobby! Derek Jones wrote a piece in Saturday's which was amusing - it also included an interesting, if worrying, little update on the ground move.
The line above regarding Shabs was a comment on Brooksider's dig at him on this messageboard for not walking off the field when only his arm was injured (that was clear in the programme, but not included above). Derek Jones, in fact, highly praised Shabs.
Brooksider, before you contact your lawyers, you were not mentioned either by name or pseudonym - but I'm sure all regular readers of this forum would recognise the reference to your limitless list of generously offered opinions.
Somehow, I think I may just have become one of your many issues.

Thats ok then, I thought he was having a go at Shabir.
We very rarely buy a prgramme, but now I understand the comment I might in future!
What was the update on the ground move?

I can't remember the exact wording, but the gist on the ground move was that Northern Rock together with house price uncertainty was holding up the valuation of SGL - which in turn was having an effect on the agreement with St Modwens.
For DB our injury crisis must be a welcome diversion!

It was an interesting, amusing and refreshing article. Sorry about the ambiguity above, gobby.

Not your fault Darrell, I was incensed by the comments on here and thought he was having a dig too. Poor Derek was probably in fear of his life! Especially as I have lovely big new handbag to wallop people with!

Just to put a bit of context around this, of the 800 odd at the ground on Saturday, probably only 20 know who I am, of which maybe less than 5 even care. Of the people who bought programmes or read programmes, I'd imagine no more than 5 knew anything about any comment. So in essence, maybe 95% of the people who readt he programme would think that a Director of the club was sarcastically criticising one of their own players, including away supporters!!. Its got a The Office style cringeworthy humour about it (made even more humorous for me for reasons I won't mention on here). Lawyers? Maybe a personal injury lawyer, just in case I hurt myself whilst rolling around laughing. All in aid of a bit of a dig at a totally irrelevent former supporter of the club! Priceless!!

If you are a former supporter, why do you keep posting on here?

Sorry Gobby Cow, a bit of clarification, I meant supporter in terms of financial and time, I am no longer a financial supporter of the club either in terms of money, or time given (and there is a huge chunk of irony there considering the title of this thread). I still follow the fortunes of the club, you never lose your affection for a football team, and I'll always wish the players and management every success. Its just the giving of time and money to the present regime that I won't do. It doesn't matter to me, and it obviously doesn't matter to the club, hence the irrelevence.

Come on TCP, don't hide behind a set of initials. Come out into the open. I have a good idea of one of your other nicknames. So be honest.

The members of the board I know all seem to be very nice, and can't do enough for you. Maybe that is because Mr T and I are such adorable people. Tony I am disappointed that you have not commented on how handsome Mr T looked doing the POTM presentation, and no Jamie didnt kiss him. He was devstated!

Firstly its JCP Secondly they are my initials Thirdly that my user name on here when I signed up, always has been, check it for yourself, hover the mouse over my name and look what it says at the bottom or your browser Fourthly I tried to put an avatar on and found that any user name containing the word "sid" in it is banned - try it for yourself if you don't believe. Fifthly I don't believe your parents named you webbtony Sixthly I wouldn't know you, whatever your name was Seventhly you wouldn't know me whatever my name was Eighthly only a prize prat would ever use their own name on a public message board, not a bad place for even a modest petty criminal to do a bit of homework. Ninethly Only a bigger prat would start a post with a "Firstly" !!!! Basically its not my fault, i'm not hiding anything, I just can't do anything about it I'm stuck with my user name, muchos apologies!!

Reasons the point was made i guess in the program were to highlight just what a pathetic individual, brooksider ,jp , jcp , tafkum , oogly boogly, is and to have a group laugh 800 so fans at this rather disturbed bitter man .

I thought that too when I first saw it. I think he thought if he held on to it long enough Jamie would forget about it!
Mr T is miffed that he is upstaged by the man sneezing behind him, but it does show of his hi-lites beautifully

to be fair though GC, he couldn't post before 2008 with his name, and he's taken the effort to sign up for his 15 minutes of fame, and blown it.
Who is Oogly Boogly?

No idea but I dont like all this nastiness.
There is interest in the club in the media and if they come on here and see all the school yard comments it hardly puts us in a good light does it.
What next? A lynch mob?

Most football message boards contain at least one death threat, which is why they are "unofficial" This one ebbs and flows along as it should. The corporate face of the club is the website, which is absolutely fantastic!!!

Hi Gobby, I was to busy reading my programme notes when the presentation was made.
I do not comment on men's looks as I am not of that persuasion.
I will get my wife to look at the picture on the website and as her for her comments.

I remember talking to this guy at one of the Supporters Trust Seminars at Walsall, he was from Port Vale I think, and he was telling me of some real serious threats from supporters towards each other, and it wasn't unusual. A chap from a club in our league said they had a similar problem. We may bicker, we may disagree, we might even agree with each other, but we are pretty well behaved in comparison.

It wld be v dull if everyone on here agreed with each other all the time and no one posted a contrarian view. JCP at least argues with logic and fact (mostly!)
