To be clear, I am not against the Supporters Trust. I merely hold the opinion that they are not as accessible as maybe they believe that they are, and if this were improved then they could improve membership, funds and support for their proposals. A variety of views and opinions improves debate and ultimately will Improve the success of the Trust. Can someone from the Trust please advise me the current membership number ? I joined the Trust some years ago, I have never subsequently received any request to renew this membership nor have I received any requests for help despite having offered. It would be better to ask these questions directly to the Supporters Trust, email via the website at - Worcester City Supporters Trust

I will send them an email.
However with so many Trust Members posting on this forum they could also disclose the membership numbers here couldn't they?

I would imagine that only the membership secretary would know the answer to your question (as I would have when I did the job), as the others are probably too busy trying to ensure that any version of WCFC will have a chance of returning to play in the city, at Perdiswell.

Unlikely, that would be like suggesting that a season ticket holder would know how many season tickets have been sold. I don't know how many members the Trust has, as I'm not close to membership management. THats why its best to get in touch with the Supporters Trust directly.

Answer the man, he’s only asked three times I think we’ve asked a few more times than that for shareholders to be informed of the financial situation the club is in. Maybe you, whoever you are, could ask on our behalf. I will update with numbers tomorrow.

Answer the man, he’s only asked three times That’s a bit rich coming from you - as you’ve NEVER answered any questions directed at you in the whole time you’ve festered on here.

Has downthelane answered any questions posed yet - or is it being the spineless mendacious coward we all know it is?

Come on downthelane - maybe you should practice what you preach - and answer some questions. Still waiting for answers bud...
Your silence is giving off a massive stench of hypocrisy...

This will probably be my last post.
All I have tried to do was raise my concerns about The Trust and how open and accessible they are and how this could be improved.
It seems that I have been misunderstood with some of the things I have said.
I cannot understand why The Trust are reluctant to disclose their membership numbers, it's a genuine question after all???
I don't want to get into all this "we've been waiting 7 years for answers" nonsense, it's like talking to The Chuckle Brothers.
There are people who could and would help the Trust, people with contacts and ideas but this Forum is enough to put anyone off getting involved.
Good luck ......

I would imagine Rob has been busy at work today or unable to get hold of the membership secretary, while most of the rest of the Trust board were at Paul Curtis's funeral.

I’m not membership person but last count I had was 253 although I know we have had people renewing recently. Are these really the important numbers? I’d like to know the losses over the last two years. -£155k I think in an fa cup year so add £100k onto that at a guess. Where has the money gone how much is left?

Thanks Rob for being true to your word and responding. I hope people appreciate that - hopefully like us all - you have a life away from WCFC and the BB. You do not have to dance to someone else's tune but you have had the courtesy to reply.

TBH some of the things you've suggested I actually agree with but it's always them over there, not me, them over there who've got to put the effort in. Maybe them over there have got enough to be dealing with. As I've said if you want to change or improve things get involved and get active. I don't quite understand what the obsession is with the number of trust members and the complete lack of patience. These people are busy you know. Finally I haven't seen an apology for the totally unjust abuse of Kev Preece and until that happens, good riddance

Hey Downthelane (do you not see the irony?), 253 members, not bad, what d'ya think? Sorry to sound negative (I'm sure all on here will know I'm fully supportive of the trust), but considering the amount of football supporters in the area, 253 members seems a very small number. Would it not be worth offering a free membership for the 1st year to attract new members, with a view to increasing the 'paying membership' in the future when those new people begin to understand the aim of the trust & the dedication of everyone working for it ?

He put his foot in his mouth by calling him a muppet - probably unaware that he posted here. Insults are dished out pretty freely on this board though, especially the past few weeks.

Also, downthelane is a troll. No-one can constantly take the contrary opinion as often as he does. He doesn’t believe what he’s saying, it’s all just to get a reaction. He’s done really well to keep up the gimmick as long as he has.

Jem,
Not bothered by it.
It is someone being salty about the Club banning someone, yet again people jump to the conclusion that the Safety Officer is to blame, even though I was on the opposite side of the ground when it happened and was told what happened after full time when I entered the tunnel area.
It follows being blamed for warning people of their behavior at an FA Cup match a few years ago, despite a room of 8 - 10 people being there in a specially called board meeting, only one or two people knew the names of those that were warned...two were brothers that I had no idea were even brothers until the person in the room listed their names.
Unfortunately I have on a few occasions said I would happily sit down with these people and talk to them, I have done so with 1 or 2 and they listened to the facts and we are now on speaking terms and they understand the real story.
As my post above, I might be a muppet, but I am a muppet who is doing what he can to raise money, one of my ideas will be coming out shortly (although I had handed over to someone to drive it as simply do not have the time), I have taken on another role in the Club which has reduced a cost, I have raised money in an area that hasnt seen money raised for 3 or so years, got Worcester businesses involved in sponsoring and on matchdays......for a muppet Im not doing too badly !
I just feel sorry for Paul....no idea who Paul is but I feel sorry for him !

Kev, when you get called a muppet, you know at least that you're doing something right! And you're doing what you believe in, ok, I don't believe its the right thing to be doing, but thats just a matter of opinion. Mate, you're always to blame! Apparently, I am a ****head, who doesn't show his face anymore! Well, this ****head was at a public meeting held by Warndon Parish council last night where the Parsonage Way plans were being discussed, because this club matters to me, and not just on a Saturday afternoon.

You have just answered why I do it "because this club matters to me". We just show it in different ways. PS. I didn't realise who I was talking to...who is Bongo...stop changing your names. Is it Croc ?

I wondered what it was that I'd said !! No, Bonzo Bitburg is an homage to The Ramones methinks, a song written by the ebullient blonde mohawk wearing Jean Beauvoir, former guitarist and business manager of Miami Steve Van Zandt. You did at least get the right family - its my brother Si.
