CHAIRMAN Anthony Hampson warned Worcester City had arrived at “an important crossroads” having revealed the club would need to part fund a new stadium at Parsonage Way. Hampson hopes to have “much more of an idea” about costings over the next month once architects finalise plans for a venue “very similar to the Evesham (United) model in terms of ground grading”. The club plans to present proposals to city and parish councillors, club shareholders, stakeholders and residents in a meeting that the City chief confirmed would not be preceded by an AGM. "very similar to the Evesham model" ? So does that mean that there will be an additional 3 full size pitches, 5 small sided pitches ,and 10 six a side pitches on the site? Like the Evesham model?

So to sum that up
1. I only pipe up when I need to throw in a spoiler 2. I have frittered away nearly all the money from the ground sale but please trust me with more cash 3. I have done nothing to raise funds for a new ground in the near decade since I became Chairman 4. I have alienated the majority of shareholders so I have to appeal to a dwindling band of season ticket holders for the money 5. I refuse to transparently account to the owners of the company that runs the club 6. I have no substantive workable plan for the future but I ask you to support it anyway 7. I will issue a separate statement designed to alienate the Clubs keenest fans 8. I am proud of leading the club into a deep hole and I vow to keep on digging 9. You are stuck with me

The Council's 100 k is to conduct a feasibility study only into Parsonage Way ie can it be made into a football ground ? - that is setting aside local opposition, getting planning, all the various reports etc etc etc. This is despite the site already being dismissed as inappropriate when the Council did their review of all sites in the City last year ! The Council won't be paying any building costs. It's all just a red herring to pacify the voters in the Perdiswell Ward.
As a limited company, WCFC Ltd will not be able to access grants, which a CBS can do. Hence Hampson has just checked the WCFC balance at the cashpoint, and realised there isn't remotely near enough ( 200 k ? ) and has now gone out with the begging bowl.
As for Hampson having " much more of an idea " about costings, let us all not forget that this is the man who drove a hard bargain with his chums at St Modwen when he proudly negotiated a reduced infrastructure cost of 500k + VAT for precisely nothing but fresh air at Nunnery Way !
Never mind, he'll be revealing all at the next AGM, which his lapdog Colin Layland is still arranging.........now is that the 2016 accounts or is it the 2017 accounts.........oh forgot, they are still searching for an auditor !

They do now have an auditor. Strangely it appears that no company in the Worcester area would consider it, so they've now got an auditor based in Walsall !!! You'd have thought that a small, or even medium, accountancy firm with auditing facilities in the local area would have been more than pleased to be associated with the premium local football club? apparently not!

Maybe linked to the fact the Club's registered address has changed from Hallow to Walsall address according to Companies House

No, they are using the address of the new auditors as the company registered address.

It used to be quite common to select auditors who were not local. The idea being that any loose tongues would not wag in the local area. Not that professional auditors would ever talk about their clients affairs in any event...but as we know not all auditors maintain the highest standards.
