Hi all,
Tried contacting admin but they appear to be lapsed members who haven't visited this year. If there are any of you out there reading this, any help with this would be welcomed.
Could I ask forum users to please refrain from copying and pasting Worcester News stories straight on to the forum. Obviously, it removes the need for people to visit our site.
We're quite happy for users to post the first three paragraphs or less with a link.
Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Andy Mitchell, Worcester News.

That's a reasonable request Andy.
Could we reciprocate and ask the Worcester News to not simply cut and paste Hampson's press releases, but instead to fully investigate the board's activities concerning the sale of SGL and the subsequent squandering of the proceeds?
Isn't that what journalists are supposed to do? Look at stories in some kind of depth?

Andy, happy to help, as long as the WN now stop copying and pasting from the Club Website and this BanterBoard, appreciate this was not you, but people in the past made stories from this banterboard and also quoted people from website without contacting them and asking for a quote. Its a two way thing

Why not close down the Banter Board altogether, then this apology for a football club would get little or no publicity at all ?

Not a bad idea, however, that would leave absolutely no outlet for criticism.

To my knowledge, Anthony Hampson has not issued a press release in my time at the Worcester News (started September 18). I look forward to meeting some of the people who have grievances with the club at tonight's trust meeting. If you're not a member or cannot make it, please drop me an email if you have something you think we need to be looking at.

The Worcester News were actually creating complete articles based on copying and pasting of comments from this banter board, and not a link back in sight!! So Andy, sure, happy with that, but it cuts both ways.
Kev, I'm cool with it, apart from the fact that the Worcester News now uses a website design and typeface which has the feeling of 1995 about it! I tend not to bother going to the Worcester News site anymore, with so many annoying videos loading and slowing down the whole site, then when its minimised, suddenly a bloody video will start playing. The website is a complete dogs breakfast, you could hold a snail racing competition whilst waiting for the pages to load, and its not the article content, its all the badly architected add-ons providing ad content. You've got Adchoices, AdClick and OutBrain all competing for resources on the same pages! Oh and GoogleAds too! what a mess.

Andy, sadly I can't make tonight's meeting - but there are plenty of Trust members who will be able to fill you in on the events that have unfolded over the past few years.
You have to excuse our cynicism regarding the WN, but it's been a long while since we've experienced objective journalism from that quarter.

I cannot confirm my identity but this isnt a dig at you and has indeed already been discussed with previous employees dating back over many years. In fact I think you are a breath of fresh air with your reporting and asking for quotes directly. Not there tonight as potentially at training which obviously clashes time wise, will catch up on Saturday.
